Zach's Biggest Weakness?

This is not coming from me, just relaying it as I don't feel qualified to make such a distinct judgment.
Today I read that Zach has little success when he holds the ball more than 3 seconds. The games he registered 2-something were much better.
My only comment is that we gave him better protection for this season. May success follow!

Maybe it's because he's staring down a receiver.
I think after 2+ seconds he's running for his life and yet wants to get a pass off. Possibly the reason his INTs exceed his TDs.
Reminds me a bit like Darnold when the announcers (former players) would say either throw it out of bounds, or take the sack.

He did stare down receivers last season.

Funny most QBs excel when given time to scan the field but someone’s determined that Wilson’s decision making gets worst the more time he has .
Fascinating, absolutely fascinating.

I'll say it again, maybe he was staring down receivers. On broken plays, that can alert the defense and they will provide better coverage.

wilson had a lot on his plate last year with little help.. he was running a complex offense & had multiple voices in his ear while dealing with the yips in the NY market..

if the kid is who we hope he is the game will slow down significantly for him now in year 2 of running the offense.. & if he fails it won't be based off not having enough pieces around him or a quality OC..

go jets..

that's because you're watching our games... it was true; the first half of the year.

Zach held the ball, and got harassed & crushed because the gap between GVR and McG was an open sieve.
Other QB's got time when they played us, because DB's can only cover for so long... we couldn't harass opposing Q's.

firstly, he did... what rookie doesn't? but we stopped hearing a ton about that when GVR got the hook for The Dr., because he wasn't running for his life. we actually started hearing about his "patience" at the end of the season.

secondly, I Am Not Bashing Corey Davis "or" LaFleur... but at the beginning of the year, our first time play caller was calling lots of plays for our first year in the system #1 target, and those plays took time to develop.

when Zach came back, Corey wasn't the main guy. MLF was spreading the wealth more, and Zach was quicker getting off the primary target per play.

once again, not bashing Corey (actually giving him respect), but when he hung them up last season, Zach never allowed himself to have a clear cut favorite that he gazed on even if he was the primary in a play.

i think Zach gave Corey too much respect as a "#1" who should be afforded the chance to get open just because he was the primary per play. Things got smoother after injury, when he saw Mike, Josh, and Joe run the O, because Zach spread it out faster.

How many great QB’s had great rookie seasons? Josh Allen went from struggling rookie to star after they got him one of the best WR’s in football, and he got the necessary time to grow as a young QB from a small college program.

But Zach Wilson shows similar growing pains and some fans have completely jumped off the bandwagon. It never ceases to amaze me.
