5 wins is in no way acceptable
I know but it’s what we’ve ( I’ve ) have come to accept .
When it changes I’ll be happy but until then I expect the norm

And honestly, strength of schedule for a middle of the road team can make a difference of about 1 win.

Well I wasn't implying that we were. I was just using that as a baseline. I mean if you think this is a 5-12 team because of the tough schedule, what would it be with an average schedule? 5-11-1 perhaps? A middle-of-the-road team may be expected to go 7-9-1 with a tough schedule, 8-8-1 with a middle-of-the-road schedule, or 9-7-1 with a tough schedule.
With that said, yes I think we have more talent than at least half of the teams in the league. We've improved in every area this past offseason. The rest of the NFL wants our rejects. Many of the power rankings are written by people who are not held accountable for being wrong. After all, we were ranked 28-30 last season. How can we possibly be the same after acquiring 2 pro-bowlers and 4 blue chip players in the draft? Do you mean to tell me that the improvements last off-season were just the status quo? What did the rest of the league do?
The biggest question going into this season is the coaching staff. Bellicheat could probably get 12 wins out of our roster. Let's see what Saleh and co can do.
The second biggest question mark is Zach Wilson. He will have a better second season. The question is how much better?
The third question is linebacker. that bit us in the ass last season more than Lawson being out. Before the acquisition of Alexander, it was very possible that being weak at lb would just kill the defense. It still is possible but not as much. I don't know how much we can improve at lb at this point in the off-season.

My 5 wins is really not that far off where most say 7-8 which can be determined by a bad: good penalty, fumble ,FG interception etc.
On top of that my schedule comment is for teams we play have been playing at extremely competitive levels or higher .
And teams like let’s say Detroit-Jax are also on the upswing

There is a lot of talent on this team. I have 3 big questions marks. Zach Wilson, Ulbrich as DC and Saleh.
