To be serious;
Saleh won’t get canned this year .

But we have supposed talent upgrade from JD the past few years and if we only win my prediction of 5 wins or less ,he must be on the hot seat at least next year .
Waiting on Zach
The team must be more competitive this year
Do you agree with that ?
Brady left the division
We all thought now is our chance
Miami and Buffalo had quick turnarounds
Time for the Jets to do the same

Agreed on all accounts. This team is better, and should not have the same win total as last year.

My low water mark was 7 wins. That is because it will take time for the young talent to develop. Expectations of the team being a wild card contender this year are blind to the fact that players actually need time to develop. But tolerating no growth is also unacceptable.

To me, the Jets are about 2-3 years behind the Bills in terms of the plan, and 1-2 years behind the Dolphins. But the long-term foundation is stronger, in my opinion, than what the Dolphins have built.

Can the fans hold out that long? Can they take a year of incremental progress? Or will we see another build have its plug pulled too early? This could potentially be the one, the real deal. As almost everyone admits, the talent is there. That speaks to the job Douglas did. I am far higher on Douglas than I am on Saleh, but I am giving Saleh and his staff the benefit of the doubt because Joe is.

If the team goes 4-13, Saleh will be canned. I don't see how anyone can justify keeping around a coach with an 8-26 record.

All true. Problem I think at this point is, so far this season we haven’t started to see the incremental improvement yet. We are 0-3 if you take away a minute and a half miracle. And everything that has happened at the start of these games has been same old jets. I didn’t expect to beat jags or cincy so those games are fine other than the way we got beat. The Steelers? Given our talent and there’s, you can make a very good case that we should win. If we do, 2-2 is good

otherwise I agree

Why oh why couldn’t have Brady been here while the bills and dolphins are competitive? He had the benefit of 6 easy wins every year and now that he’s in the nfc, he’s pretty much got it there. The f**ker

Yea doesn’t look good
But with Flacco at the helm
( I would have went White )
I expected this
It has an effect on the entire team
I’m waiting on Zach
If things don’t change then oh well

IMO it's too early to start evaluating Saleh. This is his first go around of being a head coach and he hasn't figured it out yet (when to get involved, when to trust his coordinators, when to step on their throats, etc....)

It takes time for players to develop, it takes time for teams to build chemistry, and it takes time for coaches to figure out what works and what doesn't work. I don't believe Saleh has made it to the "self reflection point". He is blaming rookies, blaming injuries, blaming learning his system/way, etc..... He needs to get to the point of looking in the mirror and asking himself "how much of this failure is my fault and how can I fix it?"

The team needs to move in phases and we are still in phase one. Before we can even start to look at wins/losses, we need to look at how the team is playing and are they competitive or do they look lost out there.

Once we can get to the competitive point, then the team moves on to "learning how to win"

Saleh will get a pass this season, but next year he will definitely be on the hot seat if there isn't serious improvement.

Not sure on that yet. I don’t get the impression that Saleh sees fault in his current plans and actions. From his pressers he’s seems to believe it just needs some time to show his brilliance.

In order to fix things, you first must come to a realization that something is broken. I haven’t seen that realization in him “yet”. Let’s give him some time and see how he does.
