Just watched Daniel Jones put in a very solid performance at Tottenham against Green Bay (which probably means the Jets get the rebound game next week). It wasn't that long ago that Jones was derided in New York. Are the Giants reaping the benefits of persisting with their guy (unlike a neighbouring franchise) or was it always obvious that Jones had the 'right stuff' and other young QBs of that time didn't? Rodgers seemed oddly disinterested in this game.

Another reason why you have to have patience and let a plan develop. Cutting bait too quickly and/or not giving a young QB the necessary supporting cast isn’t a true assessment of who a QB can be.

I often wonder what Sam Darnold could’ve been with a halfway decent team behind him in NY. He had garbage around him. It certainly didn’t help.

I think the Giants had more patience with Jones than what would be expected because the GM reached badly for him in the first round. By the Giants parting with him, he would have to admit it as a mistake and acknowledge that he ignored what was obvious to everyone else.

The Giants are 4-1 under Daniel Jones. You might wanna hold back on that for now. Give credit where credit’s due. Jones has played pretty well.

Brian Daboll is going to squeeze every ounce of talent out of that Giants team. He’s a good coach. And he’s a former Jets assistant. Damn, that would’ve been a great hire within the organization.
