Zach has turned the corner …..

I thought Zach played an excellent game today. Last Sunday, he needed to put the team on this back for the win, and he did It. This week, he didn’t need to do that. He played within the scope of the game, didn’t play hero ball, and let the team just outplay Miami. He is maturing before out eyes. And he was basically 1 yard away combined , from 2 TD passes, but it didn’t matter because the team won. The big games for him will come, but I’m happy to see him realizing that if the team wins as a whole, he wins .

Zach was efficient today. We wisely kept running the ball and getting the ball to emerging star Breece Hall. Get the ball to the playmakers and good things happen.

Zach had some very impressive throws today. Great zip on the ball. He’s getting better with the screen throws. It’s encouraging.

After only his 15th game, he showed why he led the nation in accuracy at BYU while showing he doesn't have to carry the team to a "W", but be a good game manager will do it. Having those in his his skill set toolbox will take him and the team far.

And the team seems to be behind him which is huge

he was harassed pretty good early in the game and still kept his composure

I almost felt like he would rally them after the Miami missed field goal which he actually did. I think Vinny T was the last Qb that I felt that way about

I think he played well and has played well for 5 quarters, but I will hold my judgement for when he does it for a much bigger sample size. I like that we are winning as a team and I don't think Zach needs to be spectacular. They need to lean on Breece Hall for Zach to succeed. Hope the idiot coaches have figured that out. 3-2 is all that matters right now!!

Zach is definitely headed in the right direction! I know the kid had it in him. I hope he can keep this going. If he does, we all can say with no remorse or hesitation that he is our franchise guy! J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!

The balance is going to be important. An effective Zach opens things up for Hall and Carter. An effective run game opens it up for Zach. I think LaFleur is taking major strides this season, about as much as any player has.

The running game has improved leaps and bounds
Pleasantly surprised
I knew we had the backs
But the line is finally doing a good job

AVT is far, far better than he will get credit for. He's been one of the most important players in the entire league when it comes to his team's fortunes.
Seth Walder’s post draft analysis of AVT:

“Worst trade of the draft?”

“Tough call between the Jets trade up for Alijah Vera-Tucker (a guard) and the Texans trade up for Nico Collins”.

That aged well.

No shot at you personally, but why the fuck do Jet fans care?? Zach so far is clearly better than Fields. I just want to see the Jets win. I don't care how and I don't care if others take notice.

I guess what I’m trying to say or to make it more clearly is as Jets fans we can be the hardest critics of our team, especially Zack Wilson. This is going to take time and it’s not gonna happen overnight but he clearly appears to have a the goods. If this keeps going the way it appears, we will see it soon enough. We just have to be patient.

I need to see him go toe to toe with a QB like Rodgers. I still have my doubts but I think he definitely looks more comfortable in year two.

I agree with everything that was said on the pod cast, but it’s not just Zach, it’s the Jets!! The Jets are the team everyone in the media (sans Mike Greenberg) loves to hate! This is why they are still harping on the butt fumble (even though that wasn’t Sanchez fault and why weren’t they piling on the 350lb worthless lineman getting tossed like a rag doll)!!

If we lose “we suck”, if we win “we still suck and got lucky”. The media are Jets haters! Ignore them and “fuck them all!!”

Here's Zach Wilson's value that really isn't being acknowledged. I don't have the statistics on this, so excuse on that but the eye test should tell us all. We all see it, or we should see this anyway! Zach has helped in ways that can't be measured. Our oline has drastically improved in the run game. I personally feel Zach style of play has something to do with that because he is a bit of a run threat and his arm strength in throwing the ball deep scares defenses. So that opens it up for our running game, but I will admit I could be totally wrong about that. This could all be because the oline is slowly starting to get healthy and they are just gelling finally.

What isn't debatable, at least in my opinion is the fact that the oline is still struggling in pass protection and Zach has been under ALOT of pressure these pass three games. However, he hasn't gotten sacked alot because of his scrambling ability. He keeps plays alive enough to at least avoid sacks and throw the ball away. If not run for a few or find an open player. Something Flacco couldn't have done! Zach avoided I'd say 3-5 sacks each game and that is key! That also helps keeps drives alive in which, they can run instead of having to pass. Or he can throw short passes to his RBs, TEs or even the WRs instead of the 10-15 yards passes that Flacco always had to.

Sacks are drive killers and Zach has been keeping them alive enough if not to score points, to keep or change the field position and that means more than we all know! The WRs or some are upset now but sooner or later, Zach will have to throw the ball to keep us in the game or win and then we'll see what he and the WRs do. They already displayed that in the Steelers game, and they came from behind and won. Zach was money in the second half, especially the fourth quarter. E. Moore got quite a few passes/attempts in that game. He wasn't complaining about that, was he??? Anyway, let's all just celebrate these Ws and hope they continue. Players and fans alike!

I agree with Simms Zach hasn’t looked great, but we played the #1 and #2 pass defenses back to back, and the Oline was a sieve last game. I’ll admit I wasn’t happy with his performance against Denver, but after a re watch, he wasn’t that bad considering the Oline and lack of weapons after Breece and Davis went down, and no Moore to even start with. I also believe Lafleur wanted to run the past 2 weeks, and justifiably so…. So that didn’t spotlight Zach. Lets see what happens with a more balanced attack in the next 3 weeks. It’s funny….we thru the hell outta the ball for the first 3 weeks ( Flacco) and ran the hell outta the ball the last 4 weeks (Zach). I would have thought it would have been the reverse
