Many supposed good teams are not good & many bad teams are not that bad.....what the h___ does this mean?? It is all mixed up or the tide is turning. Thank to the Cardinals for showing me some normalcy.

Help, I'm steppin' into the twilight zone
Place is a madhouse, feels like being alone
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go now that I've gone too far?

So you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone

Parity, the cba in regards to limited padded practices, plus slow starts due to teams keeping stars out of preseason equals many sloppy games the first third of the season. It also contributes to the amount of injuries mounting. Teams who get hot at the right time will go far.

Called parity. Goodell's mission. (One of them, the butt licking hypocrite).

The draft system of pro football is doing just what it was intended to do; level the playing field so that teams with smaller fan bases -- and thus fewer fannies in the seats and revenue from advertising and allure for rookie players [and ... and ... ] would still be able to compete as something other than perennial doormats. This, coupled with the eventual ageing out of even the very best players -- the Bradys, Rodgers and Gronks, leads to the present situation in which, on any given Sunday . . . [you know the rest.]

It also makes for many exciting games. With more evenly matched teams, blowouts are less common. Though I haven't explored this, I wouldn't be at all surprised for the stadium food concessions to be experiencing great sales because the fans are staying later in the games.

And so it goes.

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

We all seen this before in NFL where teams all of a sudden the talk of league. Happens when some divisions gets worse like AFC north South and then west playing awful. Scheduling worked out for Jets facing poor QBs in last few games making our defense look better against offense like Broncos. Hope we beat Pats but the way our Offense based on Zach running for his life in panic mode and not sure I can stand watching that crap twice of 3 weeks with Bills in middle

Hi, butterscotch.

I can't speak to that. In my life I've attended one pro baseball game and one pro basketball game. I didn't buy food at either one.

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

Go, Gang Green!

What were the two games thanks

Hi, butterscotch.

Wow! That really resulted in a Memory Lane marathon hike for this old geezer. One was a Giants baseball game 72-4 years ago. It was remarkable because of a call on a ball hit to deep right field which might or might not have been fair. [Yup. I know I'm playing games with the word 'fair'.] The other was a basketball game in Rochester, NY in, I believe, 1954. I was stationed at Sampson AFB in the Finger Lakes area of New York. I do not remember the teams. We had 'nosebleed' seats.

As to hot dogs, we love 'em, but at home. The best are those we order from Omaha! Omaha!. [More word play. Cut an old guy some slack, please.]

Regards, and best to you and yours.
