For Zach Wilson to step up. Not in a big way but just enough. He has been resting his arm for the last few games so we need 20% more from him now. Baby steps time
Just complete the passes he’s been missing when the opportunity presents itself. For Zach Wilson to step up. Not in a big way but just enough. He has been resting his arm for the last few games so we need 20% more from him now. Baby steps time
And it happened right in front of Saleh and the refI did like Broncos 99 running and jumping on top of Jets after tackle! Pretty cool to see 99. Weighing around 270+ jumping high on pile landing belly flop on Jets! NFL protecting player? Fvckin joke with no personal flags on 99
These clearly should have been penalties!! If is was Brady, they would have been throwing flags all over the damn fieldI did like Broncos 99 running and jumping on top of Jets after tackle! Exactly! I agree with this 1,000 percent! Zach doesn’t have to throw for 500 yards each game now but we need him to show he can truly lead this team. ATLEAST leave us hope that someday he can actually carry this team if need be.For Zach Wilson to step up. Not in a big way but just enough. Look injuries are never good but in this case this one maybe just at the right time for ZachExactly! I agree with this 1,000 percent! He’s played more of of a stay out the way and don’t mess it up role. Complete a pass or two, here or there when absolutely needed. Other than that second half of the Steelers game, Zach has been PRETTY BASIC! They need more than that now. It just has to happen!
Look I agree but I want to see it now not later...Jim Hart was this way in 67 & 68 but by the early 70;s he was very goodI don't know about Zach as our QB. I just don't know. I watched the game. he just missed too many receivers 10 -15 yds downfield. Either over their heads, behind them, in front of them, short. Throws he easily should have made. We're setting teams up with our run game and Zach can't come through with his passes.
Hoped that changes. Zach was money in the second half of the Steelers game. We’ll see what he can do from this point on.I don't know about Zach as our QB. I just don't know. He was one of the most accurate QB’s in college in the short range. That is something you don’t just lose. I think he is still trying too hard. IMO if we give up on him he will be yet another player that goes to another team and suddenly is a superstar.I don't know about Zach as our QB. I just don't know. I LOVE THIS TAKE! ACCURATE AS HELL ON EVERYTHING! Zach has to pull it together because he’s needed now! He has to step up and help this team and lead now. The oline was hurting before this but truly hurting now. Like devastatingly bad. Our top flight game changing RB is down. Zach has to get the ball to the other playmakers now through the air. Robinson and Carter will make a nice 1-2 punch but Zach has to do more now.I don't think we should give up on him, but I feel like the current way they are handling him, it is stunting his development. Right now he just isn't passing the eye test (foot work is bad, he is jittery in the pocket, missing throws and he's too quick to break the pocket; at times he needs to slide with the protection but he just abandons and runs). This is a game of inches and Zach isn't seeing guys 2 yards open (which is open in the NFL).
He's being cautious, but seems like "too cautious" as he isn't taking the appropriate calculated risks. He's thinking too much, and not trusting what he sees (there are throws there to be made, and he is hesitating).
That being said, it's not a talent and ability issue. This is an instincts and trust issue (even his bad throws, most of them are bad foot work leading to inaccuracy, or over thinking the possible defender position and incorrectly placing the ball).
Some of this is Zach, some of this is on the coaching staff. He just doesn't look comfortable out there.
I agree with you on ZachI guess I’m alone here. I don’t think he was as bad as some people seem to believe. I watched all the throws. I watched the pass protection collapse around him for much of the game, I watched three passes that should’ve been completions if it wasn’t for drops or penalties. Yes I saw the bad, too. He shouldn’t have thrown that crazy pass across his body to midfield. And he missed a couple of throws he should’ve made. (Uzomah and Berrios).
But overall, if you get past the stat sheet, he wasn’t that bad. When you’re running the ball, the passing yards aren’t as inflated. The Broncos ran 75 total plays on offense compared to 53 by the Jets. That’s unbelievable.
