We changed the game plan from what had us winning games because we were playing belichick and we felt the need to outsmart him.

Today we had a down day. We didn’t play well as a team. The QB threw 3 INTs, the o-line pretty much sucked in run blocking and pass pro, the defense sucked on 3rd down, and Lafleur got away from running the football partially due to the run blocking sucking. And JFM committed the worst penalty I’ve seen the Jets commit in 5 years.
But let’s keep talking about how Zach Wilson lost this game.

I’m not worried about that in the slightest. And losing to the bills I’m fine with. We should lose to them.
I’m assuming you’re not talking about me but just in case, Zach sucked for one half plus 2 minutes but I didn’t blame the loss on him. He was a part of it, but, as I said, they should have stuck with what had them winning, and that was limiting Zach’s chances of screwing up

Correct. But it was still a bad play. A play that drastically affected the complexion of this game. If we’re up 17-3 heading into the half, the Jets are in an entirely different head space going into the 2nd half. I think it changed everything.
They came out strong, and then played shitty as a team. Missed FG from 45, big run by the Pats to start the 2nd half, awful penalty by JFM, uneven o-line play, terrible 3rd down pass defense, Zach throwing to the other team, etc.
We lost this game as a team. It happens. But I’m not going all SOJ yet. It’s one game. No knee jerk reactions from me.
It did. Whenever we play this team, some BS happens that changes then game. That’s the problem
Maybe you credit Belichick for being the difference? I know it’s hard, believe me. I hate him too. But he guy’s a great coach.
Guess starting 5-2 was a bad thing. Gave some of us expectations, like of finally beating belichick who also has no qb and not much of anything else for that matter.
Now being 5-5 will be sad, where as when the season started we would have given our right nut to be 5-5

I give him more of the credit for all the rings than I do brady even though brady and his all star team won the covid superbowl without belichick
5-2 may have been a mirage. The Jets are improved, but still not in the same class as KC and Buffalo. I’m still 100% ok with them finishing 9-8 with Zach showing a slow progression. If that means some bad games here and there, fine. I’m good with the rebuild going into next season.
But that’s me. I know some fans are on a different timeline.
Let’s just say, I wanted someone to take out the refs today. They called the game to make sure NE had the officiating advantage and it was clear bullshit. The way they ref’d they were either paid off, or had money on the game, nothing else makes sense.

I don’t blame NE, Belichick or the refs.
I blame the entire team. We played like shit today in all three phases. It happens sometimes when you’re not ready for prime time yet.
