Same old Jets?

After Namath I’ve sort of learned on most games to get up and not watch my Jets and let it ruin my week. Now all these years later I can remember only a few years of bright spots like 80s and Rex Ryan without a QB or a good GM but still able for 2 years to beat Pats and even over came Idzik destroyed the Jets to keep scores close. Even though I Like and wanted our current GM , Coaches I’m sick of watching the same mistakes I’ve seen over and over. Either Awful QB drafts or finally get the first decent QB since Namath and you got to take a page from other teams who had success it building team for QB success! Bills, KC, Chargers,Miami,Pats. All same mostly good O Line protection and a top Vet WR. I’m giving Jets 3 years and in 2 nd year I don’t see common sense from any management. Lot of this crap is self inflicted by GM and Selah and some is Zach being scared running wild in panic from little protection last year and this year. Bench Zach like you should have done last year until you figure out drafting O Line and Vet WR because it’s getting worse sending Zach in regressing mode. I know one thing after next year and I don’t see this crap fixed or ruined Zach and I’m done wasting my life on Jets and only way to get me back after 60 years losing stupidity is win a SB. But I won’t watch or support this team until them

Also when I say Poor O Line , I’m speaking of the O Line going into the Season. Yeah the current replacement O Line is struggling as I expected but they do have one Vet O Lineman that’s keeps the O Line together and not collapse. While O Line on field is poor they are playing better than I expected other than mental lapses at RT time to time. So current entire Back Up O Line is doing fine. Not good but fine. The Starting O Line all injured suck but a maybe one. O Line starts with a Great Center!!!! Keven Mahwai probably butchered his name sorry, Nick Mangold. Both great Centers. We don’t have a good center and both sides are bad.

Beckton comes in over weight out of shape again ,cut him . Getting injured because of these two issues is unprofessional. I wanted him in draft and in shape from college and all the tryouts and great year one. But never in shape and at weight of first year since and always the same, ending of awful playing and injury.

Next is Zach regressing. Need to sit Zach the next 2 games! This will settle his head down of being chased and going crazy. Sit Zach let him get settled down to think and look at tape to figure out how to Fix himself!! He is a smart QB that is under pressure behind a poor Back up O Line and no Vet WR to calm him down and assure him of being open showing confidence in Zach’s Play. This is why you want a good O Line and Good Vet WR to help Zach understand and build his confidence. So benching Zach for next two games is a Must. Not benching Zach for two games tells me management has given up on him and let him get ruined and regressing farther by Jets thus giving up saying he is bust. He isn’t but completely bad moves in not having team ready for rookie QB and not able to look how other teams build and help QB with potential.

Zach has to fix himself because GM and Coaches are clueless to help him with surrounding him with players needed and able to speak to him during games to settle him down like a Vet WR would do

gastineau, what are you expecting? Our Offensive line is missing 2 starters and Fat Boy. We are missing the Offensive ROY. Our starting QB is not that good. Really, Look at it. His last year in college. What teams did he play against? He racked up big numbers against inferior schools. No Top 25 schools. No top 50 schools. No top 75 schools. I don't believe there were any top 100 schools.

Some of this has to get chalked up to bad luck. Our O-line was addressed during the off-season, but has been decimated by injuries.

As far as a vet WR, is that not Corey Davis? Personally I like the WRs on the team, we have several big play guys and they are young. We just need to find ways to get the ball into the playmakers hands.

Our passing game started out great on Sunday, but once NE adjusted, LaFleur never found a way to counter. The biggest disappointment to me (besides the turnovers) was LaFleur continually sending Robinson on sweeps to the outside when he is a downhill one cut runner. You have to know how best to use your talent, and LaFleur seems to call plays without understanding the personnel on the field.

Who gives a crap what college? Makes little difference. That kind of logic mean Jerry Rice never drafted or given a chance to play WR. Makes sense to some but not me. Oh Jerry Rice from crap small college and a HOF WR one of the greatest all time since I know you didn’t know or heard of him.

Yeah Scotch, I get pissed every time We lose to Pats and see that smug smirk on that punk Coach face. Billy boy is one of those very few I don’t like at all and would knock that smirk off his goofy face every time I seen him at the rough bars.

I will be honest...the Jets have been awful for a decade. They are not awful right now. Truth be told, Jets fans have yet to earned the privilege of being able to complain about the team being 5-3. We should be doing somersaults. 5-3, and Jets fans are acting like it's another top 5 pick again? Sorry, but we haven't been spoiled enough for that yet.
