Jets CBs vs. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs
The Jets cornerbacks have a tall task on Sunday defending the NFL's No. 1 passing offense (307.7 yds/g) led by QB Josh Allen and WR Stefon Diggs. Allen ranks third with 2,198 passing yards, second with 19 passing touchdowns and fourth with a 105.9 rating. Diggs' 7 receiving TDs are tied for first in the NFL, his 764 receiving yards are second and 55 catches ranks third.

The Jets have held their own against some of the league's best receivers at MetLife Stadium this season. In Week 3, Bengals wideout Ja'Marr Chase was held to 29 yards; and the league's leading receiver, Tyreek Hill, had 47 yards when the Dolphins visited East Rutherford in Week 5.

Jets cornerbacks Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed have top-five coverage grades, according to Pro Football Focus. Gardner's 86.9 grade is second and Reed's 81.9 is fifth.

"We feel good about our defense," HC Robert Saleh said. "We feel like we've added speed, there's a lot more experience, it's Year 2, so we're a lot more precise on how we do things. It's going to be a great challenge because Gabe Davis is a lot better than he was a year ago. Stefon, goes without words. … It's going to our biggest challenge to date, but I do think it's a challenge that our guys are ready for."

NYJ Run Game/Buffalo Run D
The Jets ran the ball a season-low 15 times last week against the Patriots. In their first game without rookie RB Breece Hall, Michael Carter led the backfield with 26 yards on 7 carries. James Robinson made his debut in green and white and Ty Johnson took 19 snaps, his most the season.

Buffalo's defense allows an average of 95 yards per game, fourth in the NFL. Before last Sunday's game against the Packers, the Bills had not surrendered 50 rushing yards to an opposing back. Green Bay RBs Aaron Jones (143 yards) and A.J. Dillon (54) were a part of a rushing attack that totaled 208 yards and averaged 6.7 yards per carry.

"You always want to run the ball," Saleh said Monday. "It will always be a common question when you're losing, 'Coach, why didn't you run the ball?' Well, that was a question in Week 1, Week 3. No questions over the last four weeks because we're in the lead and we're able to just run the ball. So, whenever you're losing in the fourth quarter and you got all those two-minute plays, we had a two-minute situation at the end of the half, too, where we're throwing the ball. So, it's always going to tilt it.

Shuffling Bills Secondary
Buffalo has the NFL's No. 3 overall defense, No. 9 passing defense and No. 1 scoring defense. The Bills, who have played their first seven games without CB Tre'Davious White, activated the All-Pro and Pro Bowl corner on Wednesday from the physically unable to perform list (ACL).

Bills HC Sean McDermott said that White is considered day-to-day. Buffalo, however, could be without All-Pro S Jordan Poyer (elbow), who leads the team with 4 interceptions. The secondary is already without second-team All-Pro S Micah Hyde (neck), who is out for the season.

You won't be able to see the game?
No worry.
It will be featured on the season's lowlight reel.
Might even make a couple of league-wide blooper reels.
Hide the women and children.
This one's gonna' be a disaster.

And I'm an optimist.

Here we go with another very good defense. This is four in a row. No let up for Zach Wilson.

Their secondary is pretty banged up. Hopefully we can thrive on that. Also, it’s a good thing our CB’s are so good, because we’re gonna need it against Diggs and Davis.

All I ask is that we don’t get blown out. If we lose a close game and play much better, I won’t be as disappointed heading into the bye at 5-4.

I fear you will be disappointed. I thought the spread would be 13 points, but it seems the actual figure is 12.5. Anybody going to complain THIS WEEK that the odds-makers have the Jets as dogs at home? Realistic hopes might be no key injuries, or that Wilson throws a pass to Moore.

This will be an absolute miracle if they lose by anything less than 20. It will be a beyond a true act of God if they win! To be honest, I didn’t think they had any chance of winning this game before the recent Breece and AVT injuries but now …

It won't take much effort for them to be better than they were against the Pats but I'm looking for more than that this week. It will be tough, and amazing, to pull off a win. We can only hope and pray. I wouldn't be suprised if they prove the odds-makers wrong again though.

The defense is much better this year. I’m not so sure we get smashed as badly as some are assuming. I can see a score in this range.

You can only play defense for so long when the offense are contributing three-and-outs and short fields before demoralisation sees in.

Learning how to play and win at home is paramount to the success of this team. Anticipated inconsistencies along the way. This team shows signs of progress and the expectations grow with each win. Interesting how the base finds fault in everything, win or lose. I think we have a chance but they have to play an error free, complimentary, ball control game. If we generate two turnovers and win the field position anything can happen. No one is really giving us a legitimate shot to win. So there is no pressure unlike last week. Play loose and give the fans something to cheer about.

Man oh man, I’m not sure if I can watch the next 2 games and the beating my Jets are going to get! Really only the Pats and that fvcking smirk on Bill Bellycheck face makes me furious. Billy boy is one of those guys in Alaska I would knock his smirk off his face every time I seen him in bars and make sure to knock a few of his teeth out to go with the broken jaw he would have to remember me. Oh well I guess I’ll just have to not watch

It’s interesting how many of these games don’t typically finish the way people think they will. I didn’t expect to crush Miami. But the Jets did. Didn’t expect to win in GB either.

The fact that the Jets started 5-2 raised expectations of the base. That’s what made the NE game soul crushing for so many. But we still need to temper expectations this season because we still have a 23 year old QB making the jump from BYU to NFL defenses. That is a major transition. I know some fans don’t want to hear that based on their impatience with this team, but it’s still true.

I think it's going to be more of the same. Defense will play its butt off. Too many 3 and outs will take their toll and the Jets will lose big in the 2nd half.
Unless the Jets offense can hold the ball and sustain drives that is what will happen. Sucks but...

Yes. 5-2 raised expectations, but I expected us to beat Miami without Tua and their other injuries. Any team without their starting Qb is not the same. The Packers are a mess too. I didn’t write that game of as a loss

as for the cheatahs? Mac jones is not scaring anyone at this point. We have a better team then them for once and, to a man, we stunk. That was incredibly disappointing and has brought most with high hopes after the 5-2 start down to earth, back to reality, that unless Zach can become the man, that we are at best a team that wins 7,8,9 games at most. 9 is good, but 7 or 8 means we finished the last 10 games 2-8 or 3-7. Neither of those is very encouraging

Yes. The next 2 weeks are better off spent on yard work or even early Christmas shopping

Look Zach needs more time to be good or get sacked. We are stuck with him for two or three more years or in CH's case ......100 cases of beer 🍺
