I'm not demoralized by the last game. I know what the Jets are as a team. They are still a year or two away from a dominating team. If teams had their starting QB's in. We would not have beaten Denver, Miami and Cleveland. I don't need someone to blow sunshine up my azz and tell me the Jets are a strong team. There not. Not yet. We are still lacking a Dominating LEADER. Maybe that Leader will not be Wilson. Who knows? Maybe it will be Breece Hall!!

After the hiring of Salah and Lafleur. The big talk was after 2 years other teams would be drooling over trying to get LaFleur as the new Head Coach. HE was supposed to be better than his brother in Green Bay. Unfortunately, his brother in G.B. has Aaron Rodgers as his QB and he knows how to Coach..
LOLz if lafleur is not here next year it won't be because of taking an NFL HCing gig..

he can be creative but he also has glaring blind spots during games..

OK, so here is where I see promise.

In some games, Zach has proven his ability to protect the football. He went several games at the end of last season and early this year when he protected the ball. His production was way down, but he protected the ball.

In his last game, he showed the ability to produce big numbers. More than 350 yards and a couple TDs.

What he needs to do now is marry the two. He needs to combine protecting the football with producing big numbers. He has shown he can do both, but not simultaneously yet.

I hope to hell we win more than 1 more game this year. That said, I see us at 5-5 and then losing to Buffalo again and Miami. That gives us 7 losses. Then I can’t see us beating all 3 of the bad animal teams.(Jaguars, Bears, Lions) We never beat all the bad teams that we should beat. Should we? Yes, but we never do.

that makes 8 losses minimum with Vikings and Seahawks left. That’s 2 more losses. So 7-10 with 2 wins in our last 10 games which was supposed to be the easy part of the schedule

man, I hope I’m wrong. That would be an awful finish

Coaching staff shouldn’t have changed the game plan last game to a pass happy one. Zach clearly wasn’t ready for it. Should have stuck with the game plan that was working and kept winning

I’d be happy with 7-10 wins. Last game was a setback for Zach but you want to see improvement across the season, so let’s see how he responds against Buffalo

This is the kind of reads Zach needs to learn how to make. 3 progressions in 3 seconds!!! This helps O-lines tremendously as well

I’m not quite sure why some fans are enthusiastic about Mike White. He’s thrown some INT’s and had a few stinkers in limited opportunities. Why is it better to throw a stopgap in the game and sit a young QB who you’re trying to develop? We have to accept Zach making mistakes and having some bad games along the way. It’s part of the process.

Just today, Josh Allen said “I remember being there” when talking about Wilson’s game last week. Allen struggled before he reached this level.

We never beat all the bad teams
Not when we are also a bad team
Like I said before
Those 3 teams see the Jets on the schedule and say :
“ oh that’s definitely a winnable game for us “

And it’s not because the Jets lost one game last week
That so jump ship ;
They lost at home to a weak NE team
That’s what’s so disappointing
To me anyway

I guess starting 5-2 during what was supposed to be the hard part of our schedule was a bad thing, because if we now go 7-10 in the easier part, it will seem like a letdown. Hard to see 2-8 to end the season as a good thing even if we are in every game.

of course, had we started out 2-5 and then went 2-8, that wouldn’t cut it either

we really need to win 9 at this point for me to feel hopeful. That’s 4-6 in the last 10. Not a lot to ask for, I don’t think. We also need to play consistently well in those games. No more total team meltdowns

This begs the question, do we look at the season as a whole, or do we segment it? And if we segment it, how much? Two halves? Blocks of four?

I'm not sure if I could honestly say 8 wins is a letdown when most people had the team picking top 5 in the draft.

well i can honestly say finishing the season 3-7 after starting 5-2 would be a letdown..

a big one..

& what is worse if we do finish on a 3-7 skid, wilson will undoubtedly at the center of it.. he is by far the shakiest of the main pieces on the roster..

Yes, but isn't raising the expectations of the season because they got off to a hot start just punishing the Jets for playing well?

"Hey, we know we picked you to win 7 games, but you've played really well so far. So if you don't win at least 9 now, you suck."

with due respect, i'm not going to re visit a 2015 10-6 collapse in buffalo type debate.. there's no real point to it..

neither of us are changing are view on how context plays a part in an NFL season..

In 2015, they won 5 of their last 6, didn't they? It is considered a collapse because they had lost their last game. Had they gone 5-1 and lost their second game of that stretch, would it still be considered a collapse?

Please understand, I’ve noticed this forum continually do this. Taking the ONLY other sample sizes of other QBs playing on this roster for comparison is NOT calling for that other player to start or play over Zach.

This is an example of how to properly go through your progressions and finding the open target (and exactly how long it took another Jets QB to do it). It is the ONLY other comparisons that can be made with the same team.

He’s an article claiming Zach actually has the most time to throw in the league at 3.26 seconds 😳😳

I honestly don’t know if that’s true because our O-line has been a mess at times (and I’m sure his scrambling is increasing this number), so this definitely isn’t all in context, but Zach does need to speed up the reads and decisions
