We've seen the Jets use a soft defense before. If you watched the Rams-Bucs game, the Rams pulled back and let Brady complete multiple pitch-and-catches to the sideline to set up his late touchdown. You have to stay aggressive; prevent defense is great when only one big play can beat you but is death by a thousand cuts when lots of little plays can do it and you face a veteran QB who has the patience to stick with it.

We are better than them. But that means nothing if we don’t beat them. 1st cheatah game was a must win and we lost. 2nd cheatah game is a double must win can’t lose. Belichick is so good at screwing with the heads of young qb’s. He did it again this week. We need to run the ball down his throat. He’s also gonna take GW out of the game. Zach needs to spread the ball around to the other receivers when he needs to throw. Can’t lock in on Wilson. And no changing what we do because we’re playing belichick. Just bust ‘em up just like today

we better damn well win this game
Another tradition is that the Patriots make half-time adjustments while the Jets don't.

That was awful. No one was within 5 yards of any of his receivers on that entire drive. And then of course the pass interference call in the end zone. I called Vegas and bet that that would happen

How well is Ogbuehi playing? I haven't heard him called for major mistakes, but he isn't a presence downfield like Brown. If Fant or Mitchell become available, do they replace Ogbuehi?

We’ve got two weeks to figure that out.

I’ll tell you who I’m really starting to like is Nate Herbig. This guy was signed as a depth player and has stepped right in and played well. He road graded a few guys yesterday in the run game. I loved to see the o-line sack up in that last drive. They were awful for most of the day in the ground game. But when it mattered, those guys completely dominated the front 7 of Buffalo. That won the game. Opened holes for the RB’s for big gains that ran the clock down, and kept Allen on the sidelines.

Former OL stud Andrew Whitworth was asked by Dan Le Batard (Miami sports guy) what he thought about the Dolphins and Jets at 6-3. Whitworth said he was more encouraged by what he’s seeing from the Jets because defense and running the ball wins in December and January. He said he’s more confident in the Jets being able to win in the playoffs.

It’s an interesting take. Especially if the games are outside and not in a dome.

Offensive line actually playing pretty well. Wonder who starts vs. cheatahs? May not be good to change them up. @SackExchange , what do you think?

Herbig is the guy I want to keep in the lineup more than any of the other stopgaps. I think if you can go with a line of:

Brown-LT-McGovern-Herbig-Mitchell

you are in fine shape. Same for if you plug Fant into either spot, though I like Mitchell better at RT than either Fant or Brown. Ogbuehi has done a yeoman's job plugged in. Steady, but nothing remarkable. Herbig has been absolutely remarkable.

And I also think a change at RT, with Ogbuehi sliding into more of a reserve role, will not change the chemistry as much as changing two or more guys would.
