when asked if benching wilson was ever an option today saleh immediately said no..

Zach….. what can ya say???? I fear he is the worst QB we have picked in round 1. Sanchez stunk. But with a great D (which we have), at least he was able to win. Darnold was a bonehead, but at least he didn’t play scared (but was a turnover machine). Zach is plain ass scared out there. His first shitty NE game was way better than his 2nd shitty NE game. I cant remember seeing such a pathetic QB performance. Hell…. If Streveler would have played and never attempted a pass, and just ran with it….. would have been better than what we saw today

I'd still like to see Strev given a shot, not because I'm a fanboi but because when you have a porous offensive line you need a QB who can slow the pass rush by making a quick decision to tuck the ball and run through the gap left by the pass rusher. The same as Fitz did when he first came into the side. Wait and see what Fields does to us next week. White and Flacco would just stand there and get sacked.

We can blame the o-line as well, but we have to remember most of them are on IR. We have two starters (one who we talk of replacing), two third choice guys, and a left tackle near retirement playing with a torn rotator cuff.

Meanwhile the Detroit team who some had marked as an obvious 'W' have just won their first game of the season at Metlife.

That’s three missed calls by my count. Three missed calls in Belichick’s favor. And the other two were obvious. Horrible blown calls.

Though if the kick return had been called back we would be pitching for a 3-3 tie at best. And then the run would switch from 'lost to' to 'failed to beat'. Perhaps the officials were as fed up with the poor football on display as the crowd and TV audience.

There’s plenty of season left. This is far from the end of the world. We’re still good. Wilson absolutely needs to have a bounce back game next Sunday, though. Or even I will start to question some things.

Dreadful. The line played horribly. Losing Herbig and not having Mitchell or Fant back really hurt. It was bound to happen that eventually the injuries on the OL would be greater than Douglas' ability to constantly restructure the OL.

That said, the Pats stopped the run because they didn't have to respect the pass.

if by "freaking out" you mean some have come to terms with the real idea that the 2nd pick in the draft is not very good at NFL football or taking accountability, then i agree.. apologies but i do believe my lying eyes.. josh allen's 2nd year in the league notwithstanding..

There’s plenty of season left. This is far from the end of the world. We’re still good. Wilson absolutely needs to have a bounce back game next Sunday, though. Or even I will start to question some things.

The defense is still good. Wilson is not.
