Jets need to Draft a QB

So every year Jets need to Draft a QB with the first pick! No more drafting a QB and wait. Keep drafting a QB every year till Jets gets one. 1965 last time Jets drafted a great QB that was so good it changed the League. GM done fine rebuilding Jets but I’m sick of waiting so draft a QB every first round!! Get a dart board and put QBs names and pick!

You always say this. But we haven't got time to start evaluating another QB, we are almost in win-now mode. We can pick up a capable vet, I'm fine with Mariota or Minshew. Let Zach ride the pine. But I still say we should give Strev a couple of games first.

Joe-D and Saleh have drafted for two years with the Jets, if I’m correct! They’ve done a great job overall but the problem is that the most important position to draft they may have got it wrong. It definitely appears they did. So now what do they do?

Do they give Zach the rest of this year and next year before they decide? Do they cut bait with him after this year if he doesn’t turn this around. Do they sign or trade for a proven vet and let Zach sit next year and hopefully learn? Decisions-decisions!!!

This team is ready, THIS YEAR to be a true threat in the playoffs. If we had a half-way decent QB, which means playing majority mistake free football that can make a play here and there. Pretty much a game manager, we’d probably be undefeated right now.

We need help in other places in the 1st Rd. Mainly OLB, MLB, LT. A Center or FS in Rd #2. We don;t have a lot of cap next year as in past years. Cannot keep drafting a QB in Rd #1 every year. We then would revert back to the same ole Jets when Draft time comes around.

I don't think Douglas is wired that way. First of all, any vet would be at best average, or they wouldn't be available. My sense is that JD wants everything in place, like it is now, and to then make the move on a young QB. They took Wilson because they liked him coming out of college and they had the draft position to take him, though I think they would rather have waited before drafting a QB.

Draft a QB every year! I’m still mad over Jets not able to draft a QB! Trevor Lawrence by winning a game was stupid. This crap happens since 1983 and I’m. Sick of this crap. I understand the notion “either you have “your” QB or you are searching for them” but you can’t draft a QB in the 1st round every year until you find them. I’m good taking a QB every year “in the round that fits” until we have a franchise QB and a solid backup.

Just have to be smart with the picks and with free agency

Last year, tons of folks ignored comments in the media and on boards about ZW's inability to connect on simple 5-10 yard throws. That same problem is there every time the kid steps onto the field. Why? No way he will be successful or a franchise QB if he can't complete those balls consistently. Figures the Jets pick a guy who can't make simple throws.

If the franchise is committed to the philosophy of giving a drafted QB three years to develop, up until when they would have to make a decision on whether to pick up the fifth year option, they may hold off. But it seems doubt is creeping in at all levels. It will also depend on which QBs are available when they do pick.

Are there many QBs right now who project to the mid-to-late first? Stroud and Young will go too early for the Jets to have a chance. Levis from Kentucky? I would bet with the very early run on Stroud and Young, Levis goes off the board early.

This will be determined by a combination of organizational philosophy and availability.
