This move was understood but risky at the same time and also the right thing to do! In all, we have a team that’s more than playoff ready but a first round young QB that might be a bust. He has all the talent and potential in the world but he might just be a bust. A fifth year player who may be the next Kurt Warner or he’s nothing more than an excellent back up.
W-F’n-W is CLEARLY the better QB for this team but is that only for now? Will he turn out to being the next Kurt Warner or is he just an excellent back up like pick one … I don’t believe MW has the talent and potential that Zach does but he doesn’t need to. He has the heart, feel for the game and short to mid-range accuracy to make him an excellent QB. Hall of famer or excellent back up?
This team has such a unique and fortunate but possibly disastrous QB situation here. Do we have a franchise QB here or not? Or do we just have two very good back up QBs? This needed to be done because Flacco is done and needs to retire, like yesterday. Zach, they must feel is prepared enough to go in if need be but how can he be ready this fast? Did he actually fix everything they needed him to work on?
What I can’t figure out is why aren’t they activating Strevler who could turn out to being a very good QB also? In other words, this Jets QB situation is unlike any other. Maybe in history, PERIOD!
