His silence kept the door open for speculation. But there was obviously no basis for people to start with, "I heard it was a car crash, and he was DUI," or "maybe he got caught with PEDs." To me, those two damning rumors when he was instead facing a serious hereditary health scare seem out of hand.
i maintain that there was zero need for saleh to have been so cryptic when the young man was clearly in no way at fault..
the jets were just never going to talk about mitchell dealing with a health scare?? ever?? because why??
That is a fair critique. He could have said that this was a personal medical situation. Would HIPAA have any role in whether he could disclose a medical issue that has nothing to do with a football injury?
