Jets playoff chances at this point!

At 7-6 the Jets no longer hold their destiny in their own hands. We all know this! All we can hope for at this point is a 3-1 finish with 10 wins giving us a chance. Now is that possible? Who knows at this point! The Lions, Jaguars and Seahawks have become very formidable teams all of a sudden. Well the Seahawks have been playing well all season long actually.

Anyway, the Jets now have to hope for other teams to lose on top of handling their own business. With the Patriots and Chargers being right on our asses, the Jets have no room for error. With that said I’ll be honest with you, I know it makes since now to root for Miami to beat the LAC tonight and for the Cardinals to beat the Patriots tomorrow.

Well I’m with you on the Cardinals but I’m hoping the LAC wins tonight. Not to better the Chargers chances but because I’m hoping Miami starts their slide of losses and if it comes down to the final game of who wins and they’re in, I believe in our Jets! In other words, the Jets still need to take control of this thing and not need any help. Long shot I know but possible!

Yes I know it’s easier and safer to root for the Chargers and Patriots losses to make the odds better for our Jets but at this point, either the Jets are going to handle their business and win their games or their not. It doesn’t matter at this point what these other teams do to be honest because if the Jets don’t win 10 games this year, they’re not getting in anyway, IMO!

Unless you’re a division winner, seems pretty clear to me that the non division wildcard teams will need 10 wins to get in. I just can’t see 9 wins being enough.

Ofcourse, I get that and that’s why I mentioned it in the thread post. I’m sure my frame of thinking is off here but I don’t want our Jets back sliding in the playoffs. Hoping for other teams to lose to make it in.

Winning all 4 games at this point is probably highly unlikely and asking for too much but winning 3 out of the next 4 games is a must. If that’s not enough to get the Jets in then it wasn’t meant to be anyway.

That was satisfying to me only because we made it to the AFC championship game. Other wise I wasn’t happy at all with that backing into the playoffs shit! The next year when they won 11 games and made it in, I was like now they are ready for the playoffs.

You have definitely stayed consistent I will give you that. On the Zach and Darnold theory. Yes I’ve bailed on Zach but it wasn’t that hard for me because I never wanted them to draft Zach anyway. I wanted them to draft Justin Fields. It was actually harder for me to bail on Darnold believe or not, because I actually wanted them to draft Darnold. Can you believe that!!!

That’s what I’m talking about TCT. If the Dolphins lose tonight that can help us also. As long as the Jets win their games. At least, 3 out of 4 of them and one of those games being the final Dolphins game. As for Mayfield, you have to admit that those far he has had a better NFL career that Darnold. That may not be saying much but it’s saying something!
