how does everyone feel about either of those outcomes?

what did this season show us?

1. All our rookies were solid and damn good at that
2. We are still unsure at QB
3. Losing on a walkoff punt return sucks ass
4. No matter how many offensive lineman you draft or sign that look to be solid on paper, you still don’t have enough
no matter who we put on defense and how great the unit seems to be, give them one drive to stop for the win and they will still fail
5. JD? I think most will agree he seems destined for greatness, but others will argue that he still picked the wrong QB and becton
6. Saleh? Seems guys are split 50/50 on him. changes weekly. Personally I’m not counting him out. He’s new and I think he will get better with age
7. Lafluer? Big question mark. Can he learn? Can he adapt? Can he figure out how to use the players he has? Again a young guy who hopefully learns. If he ever does become great someone will poach him immediately
8. Maybe the untimely loss of our new QB coach before last season started was a bigger loss than anyone could ever imagine

I would sure as hell have felt better had we at least beat buttfuckichick once. First game, I thought we should win. Second game, I still thought we should win but knew we would lose. If we had to play them again next week, I would just know we would lose. In fact, I’d do what I have done for most of the past 20 years. Not watch that game

hopefully we are on the right track. for a bunch of weeks, I truly believed that we were, but if we end the season 2-8 in our last 10, it’s kinda hard t argue that we are a year away from being great, with next year being that year.

we still probably need more than half an oline and good chance a QB among other things and if we don’t keep winning games in clumps, the team will deflate like a brady football

And does our offensive line suck as bad as it seems. I’ve been saying they suck for years, but when Mike White is playing, they look a whole lot better, excluding against Buffalo anyway. Is it stupid QB play that’s makes the line suck? the run game disappeared, but that is most likely cause they stacked the box daring Zach to throw. Run game looks better with White too

I don’t think Payton is even a thought on the Jet radar.

we lost to Buffalo and Minnesota. White did pretty well I thought. You put those losses on the coaching staff?

At the very least I put it on LaFleur. We couldn't score TD's in the red zone either because White couldn't get us there or LaFleur derailed the drive. I know Payton isn't on the radar, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be.

We went from debating HARD about Zach to now the debate begins about Saleh! Ok, so here we go, there's no way in hell you replace Saleh with Payton. Saleh is a hell of HC and deserves one more year at the least to prove that. Even if they lose the next three. He was bold enough to make the changes he made with Zach to MW. The team appears they will literally run through a wall for him, and you want to get rid of that? Saleh has the intangibles that you need to lead a team, that IT factor!

The team is withering a bit here, but they still have three games to turn it around. I personally don't think they will win those games but not because of coaching. The oline and QB situation, without MW just isn't cutting it. Zach just can't play the short and mid-range game good enough to make it happen. Maybe he just isn't smart enough but the basic mental QB game from the pocket he just can't grasp and that's his problem. Coaching just may not be able to help with that. Either you have it, or you don't!

The first thing that needs to done is figuring out this QB thing and assuring our oline. The defense is pretty solid to even great, but they do need to add more depth to it. There's ALOT of good to take from this year no matter how it ends.

The Jets have playmakers all over the field like not many teams do. Imagine Breece, Bam and Carter in the back field with G. Wilson, Moore, Davis, Berrios, Hill and J. Smith with Conklin and Uzomah. Of course, they will also draft and pick up a few free agents to add to this. This team has a very bright future ahead of them but without that oline and QB situation getting fixed, this team goes nowhere!

It's just that simple!!!

Don't list Berrios. He hasn't made a single impactful play since he signed his contract. He is a scrub. Rather watch Jeff Smith.

I really like Saleh. When you are winning his style of coaching works, but the rah rah coaches get steamrolled when the shit hits the fan.
