The front office made a mistake drafting him, but to continually compound that error by trotting his sorry ass out there, under the premise that he has god gifted talent, is a just a flat out dumb ass strategy. Last year I said his ceiling was Baker Mayfield. He isn’t even Baker Mayfield’s jock holder at this point. I absolutely agree with the plan you have for the future. I would suggest the Jets look at a 3-year deal for White, who will come a little cheaper than some bigger name QBs in free agency. They don't have the draft capital for another run at a top tier QB. Giving White a three-year deal, using Streveler as a backup and potential change of pace, and drafting a QB in the middle rounds who could develop over the course of White's deal to me makes the absolute most sense.

I’m with you on that 1,000 percent. Cut your losses, whatever that is and get rid of this kid this off-season. Draft a 5th-7th rounder and have him back up MW. If their not confident in MW for ever reason, then go get Jimmy G and still draft that 5th-7th rounder.

that means we give Mike White who literally has the pulse of the locker room and the backing of his team mates a chance to really be the starter who looks awesome in this west coast based scheme. like you said two to three year contract we do not have to break the bank but this experiment with Zach is over and take your lumps now while you still have the locker room.

get a team willing to give you two mid round picks for Zach maybe even the Giants which it would be more cost effective for them long term. Zach's style fits Daboll's game plan.

Streveler can be the that constant wildcat QB that will have a purpose in the offense. It is concerning to have a Joe Flacco and he is not even an option when all the shit goes wrong.

It was apparent last season who was better. I speculate that the coaching staff persisted with Wilson because he's the 2nd overall pick and they felt like he had more upside. That said, they're actions in the second half did not exactly help his confidence. Maybe the coaching staff rattled him and made him worse.

Mike White can be the starter next season he has the backing of the team.
We draft someone that we can groom. No more drafting a top ranked QB that is thrusted into action even though he was clearly not ready.
Streveler is a good practice squad option next season but that is it.
Sign a veteran option like Gardner Minshew who could compete with Mike White for starter role, the loser is #2

Those who see Mr. Zachary Wilson in a Jets uniform next season are guilty of magical thinking.

The New York Jets have a starting QB for next season: Mr. Michael White. Rather than wasting a draft choice on some wunderkind QP, the Jets would do well to build their offensive team around the skill set of Mr. White. The defense is pretty much good to go as it is. Any failings can be attributed to getting ground down by too much time on the field. An offensive squad worthy of the name -- as opposed to the present derogatory connotation -- will solve the defense issue.

The Jets have to decide what kind of offense they want to run next year and select QBs accordingly. If it's pocket passing, it's Mike White and a suitable veteran and Zach competing for the two places. And a major overhaul of offensive line. If it's RPO then it's Strev and a suitable veteran. RPO can compensate for a weak offensive line, like it was when Fitzmagic first came in.

I don’t know if it’s a possibility, but I’m putting it in the universe. And not because I hate Saleh. I just want to win and maybe Mike White could be similar to Drew Brees since neither of them have great arms. Payton has won a Super Bowl and Saleh will take more years of growing.
