I was wrong...or at least, I feel today like I was. When the Jets were 6-3 and 7-4, I said the year, in the long run, was a success because they met my expectations. A few of you, cheaterhater and jetgreen13 among them, I believe, said that if they collapsed, it wouldn't be. I insisted that you have to look at the whole of the season.

I was wrong on that. While there are positive signs in some key positions, this is just brutal. What an awful way to end the season.

When you ask the team that lost the Super Bowl if they would rather have lost or not gone at all, they chose not gone at all.

the higher the expectations, the more the failure hurts

i started the what if we end on a 2-8 streak because I knew we would from 50 years of the SOJ

for me, it hurts a little less each year because each year I lose a little more interest. I had the game on all day. After the opening 75 yard run, I knew we lost and hardly saw another play after that even though I was sitting in front of the tv most of the time

I turned 48 around Thanksgiving. In those 48 seasons of Jets football, Mets baseball, and Rangers hockey, I have seen two titles. Two.

At this point, I just expect to be disappointed.

Let's see...48 X 3 = 144...from that, we subtract one MLB season that did award a title because of the strike and one NHL: season that did not happen at all. So...in roughly 142 opportunities, I have seen my team win it twice.

Had I chosen any other combination of NY area teams, I would have seen more titles. Any other combo.

My father was a Giant fan. I should have stuck with him

I’ll be 57 in February. My favorite 2 Jet wins were the 2 Super Bowls where the Giants beat brady. Make that 3 Nick Foles beating him may have been the topper

and yes, I realize the Jets didn’t play in any of those games

The bottom line JD took over this team 4 seasons ago. We went 7-9 in his first year, but didn't do the draft because the Jets are the only team dumb enough to let a GM pick the players and fire him after. In JD's first draft, he blew every single pick. In his second draft he blew the most important pick. Last years draft looks very good, but we will probably finish 7-10 which since he took over we don't have more wins and actually have more losses. Thats a problem. The sad thing is he is still the best GM we have had in many decades.

JD is one of the few guys I am totally sold on keeping. Him, Sauce, GW, AVT, Breece. Those might be my only untouchables in the organization.

Nobody in the front office is untouchable. They are all part of this debacle. I like JD, but he has whiffed as much as he has succeeded. If he wants to shuffle this coaching staff then I would give him that option, but with no QB, no extra picks and not a ton of extra money he will have a harder time swinging for the fences.

I felt the same exact way. That 6-3 and 7-4 was so freaking deceiving. Then again, maybe it wasn’t. I mean Breece and AVT went down and they had to depend more on the QB. They obviously don’t have that answer on the team just yet. We all or most of us got sucked in and this collapse is brutal. Stop being so invested and it won’t hurt so much! It’s all the advice that I can give. That I have to start living by myself I must add!

What if I told you when JD was hired 4 years ago that he would be 20-45 would you say this is the guy we should be hiring? I would argue JD has had one very good draft possibly. One mediocre draft and only that high because of AVT otherwise it was a non impactful draft. And another draft with not a single player that will be in the league in 5 years.

i worked yesterday & got home just in time to watch brown with a false start inside the red zone to make it 1st & 15 with the score at 3-17.. turned the game off after zuerlien made it 6-17 & enjoyed the rest of my night doing unrelated jet stuff.. i had seen this same tired ass old movie far too many times to forget how it ends or LOLz even how it starts!! i heard the D got gutted on the 1st play from scrimmage?! of course they did.. no need to keep jet diehards under the impression they came to seattle to take care of business.. that would be cruel..

i had mentioned last week if i were saleh, i wouldn't want to go into my end of the season meetings with the GM & ownership on a 6 game collapse after 6-3 & 7-4.. well apparently coach saleh didn't read my post..

good, bad, right or wrong, people are going to lose their jobs over yesterday..
