I posted White's sitting out minutes after it was announced shortly after 1 p.m. If he has months to recuperate,he should play. To me it's almost a political move to keep Zach in our minds, if not in view. I'm telling you, while Saleh thinks he is doing it for the Jets, he might fall on his own sword.

Trouble is, there is an outside chance that Flacco has a rush of blood to the head and 'wins' the game. The chance with Strev is even bigger. I would rather have seen Zach, an almost Namath-like guarantee of the outcome there,

Let's see . . . the Jets are out of the play-offs. Mr. Michael White, last week, gave evidence that he returned too soon after his rib injuries. Mr. Zachery Wilson, as far as is known, is not generally liked by the team. The offensive front 5 remains a leaky wall. Who to start? Mr. Christopher Streveler could be activated for evaluation. This poor old country mouse is a tad surprised that this wasn't done. There's nothing to gain by starting Mr. Joseph Flacco. He's a fine back-up QB/mentor, but he's a known piece on the board.

This weekend's game can be devoted, with profit, to seeing just what those who have warmed the benches have to offer for the next season. The New York Jets have come quite a way. There's more ahead next season. Now's the time to lay the groundwork.
