Colts have stated they aren’t interested in Carr. they will move up for a QB in the draft
After putting some careful thought into this, I have determined that the next starting QB will miss games, if for nothing else, the concussion protocol. So we need 2 good QBs instead of one great QB.
1. Derek Carr - A possibility
2. Lamar Jackson - A king's ransom and diminishing returns as mobile QBs typically offer.
3. Jimmy G - A possibility
4. Minshew - A possibility
5. Dalton - Pass. He's a caretaker

Zach Wilson is an unknown at this point. I don't believe the book is closed on his career but he may never develop into anything. I think his problems are mental and are rooted in the 2021 2nd patriots game. Saleh's right, he needs to go somewhere and read a book. Lafleur never fixed this in a year and a half. It may not be fixable.
I think the Jets need to strike fast on Carr or Lamar because I think there will be a lot of teams that need a QB. JD can't blow this.
That's precisely where I am. I don't think it's even worth any efforts to sign anyone else in the open market besides these two (I personally prefer Carr, especially given the fact that Ravens might want a king's ransom for Jackson.) In addition though, I would definitely draft a mid-round QB prospect to sit and learn on the sidelines for a couple of years (and do the same next year if this year's pick doesn't show good potential).
The troublesome (forever) ongoing trend is that we have shown zero batting average in ability to pick/develop/improve QBs, and I don't see that changing without a very competent Offense coaching staff...
I also prefer Carr. He is going to be released so toss them a 5th round pick. He costs less. Lamar would be more exciting when he is healthy enough to play.

The Brady thing, I’ll pay for that also! Rodgers will be great if he’s all in and can give us 2-3 years of great play. Might even get a SB out of that. Carr might do for 5-6 years before they have to get rid of him. They’ll make the playoffs with him. Maybe even a AFC Championship game but not more than that. I don’t think so.
Lamar is the guy, he’s the one that can give this team 7-10 years of excellent play. As long as you’re not asking him to do everything like the Ravens are doing now. With this team of weapons and a better oline, it’s no limits IMHO as to what Lamar can do with this team!
I don’t care which one of these guys they get as long as they get one. Lamar is my first choice ofcourse but whatever works is fine with me!
Rodgers lost me when he hosted brady in the championship game 2 years ago and didn’t show up. He should already have more rings then he does. Plus he gets nuttier every year it seems
