Jackson and Rogers would not only put us in cap hell, but would prevent us from re-signing our own players for years to come. IMO Carr is the #1 choice with Garrapolo as the backup plan.

First off, I think Jackson and Rogers are cost prohibitive. Not saying it can't be figured out how to do it. I know it can and JD is good at that sort of thing, but these tricky finance deals often come back and bite the team in the ass down the road. Carr would be, in my estimation the most logical choice followed by Garoppolo. I think Carr actually wants to come here and his no trade clause makes it his choice.
We will most likely end up with Carr and I'm ok with that. I mean what choice do we have at this point. Zach is worthless, so is Flacco and MW can't seem to stay healthy. He may not be the answer anyway, so let's go with it!

I'm good with Carr but I'm not really interested in Jimmy G (AT ALL) but it is what it is at this point. As long as it isn't Zach or Flacco next year, I'll be fairly excited about anyone else. At the beginning of the season at least!

So you’re saying Carr has lost his mind? Do we really want him hear if that’s the case?

Oh no.................But as hard as it is to believe when you look at the seven or eight teams that are looking for a QB the Jets are his best option. We have a great defense, something he would really appreciate and some really good talent on offense, excluding the "O" line which hopefully will be much better by the start of season with AVT, Hall, and Becton coming back we can shore the line up either in free agency or the draft. This team really is only an OC and QB away from being a serious contender. As bad as we on this forum think we are...........consider............we only missed the playoffs by one game. Had he been here I don't believe we would have lost several of the games we did lose.

JD has tried to fix the line since he’s been here. Hasn’t worked. Bad luck? Namath’s fault? For whatever reason, hasn’t worked. Don’t know that next year it will be suddenly fixed until I see it.

we don’t just need a qb and an OC, which is huge enough, we need at least a couple o linemen. Also huge

and Breece probably won’t be what we saw last year. At least for a while

the afc is stacked and it seems set up to be that way for a good while. That’s why brady is in the nfc

we are still in trouble

Lamar wants guaranteed monies. You might think he sounds like Leon Spinks, but he ain't stupid.

Lol, ofcourse you would think that! Gotta give Greeny his props. He’s a well educated man, very successful sports reporter/journalist and a die-hard Jets fan. Being a Jets fan does take ALOT away from his intelligence but he still is the guy! As for his list, I don’t totally agree but he’s on the right track. A-Rod would give this team instant success, as long he can stay healthy and invested! I wouldn’t at all be upset if the Jets landed Rodgers.
Greeny went to Stuyvesant H.S., was successful in the biggest radio market in the country for years. Yes being a Jets fan does cost some brain cells, but so is Mike Tannenbaum, a lawyer. Dr. Marc Siegel s a Jet, as well was Leon Hess. No correlation therefore between life's vocation and following the Jets.

Here I go being agreeable again. Old farts like me are supposed to be grumpy and disagreeable but you are making it difficult for me to live up to that standard. JD's problem with the "O" line if you really look close actually has been mostly bad luck. Injury and a revolving door of players on the "O" line have made it difficult at best for them to develop any continuity or consistency. I have a hunch the "O" line will be much improved. Just a hunch, but a strong one. Also agree that we need a couple more "O" lineman. I think we will get those too. It would also be normal for Breece to not be 100% when he comes back but even at 75 %, and he should with his work ethic be at least that, he's still pretty good and he has help in that room. Yes, the AFC is stacked but we have beat Buffalo, we have beat Miami, and losing to the Pats should not have happened. This team with a decent OC and QB can stand up to anybody. We are still in trouble as you say, but only a little trouble. Have faith, my friend, have faith. Yeah...............I know that's hard to do, but do it anyway.

Yeah...................he wants a LOT of guaranteed money. That's why I feel he's cost prohibitive, but then again, I'm not JD or the NY Jets.

I don’t think we hate him
If he continues to suck I just don’t want him on my team
That’s not being hateful
I didn’t hate Sam- Geno -Mark -Hack - this is non ending so I’ll stop
But if they suck move on quickly
And this Geno thing ain’t going to last
Be sure if that

Yeah...............I know that's hard to do, but do it anyway.

lol

my Point. We seem to have done everything right and still failed.

bad luck? We’ve had that since 1970. When does it leave us?
