Probably the best hire out of what was available. Reich was never going anywhere as a coordinator….he wanted to be a HC. What amazes me is that Payton and the Saints have basically priced themselves outta the market
He'll with the first I'll drink a fifth if we get himAt this point, eff it. Why not? Just don't give up a 1st for Rodgers. That's all I ask
Who will the Cardinals get now. Otis from Mayberry as HCProbably the best hire out of what was available. Reich was never going anywhere as a coordinator….he wanted to be a HC. What amazes me is that Payton and the Saints have basically priced themselves outta the market
Well said. I’ll agree with you here. Most experience, similar system, got it over with quick so we can move on immediately. He has more experience than LaFleur and most of the available OC candidates. Most of those with more desirable OC experience were in line for HC jobs. Under the circumstances, especially considering he's a west coast system guy and with the addition of Keith Carter and more OC help to come, this is probably a good hiring. There is no way I can see this in a bad light at this time. The best part of this is that they can now start working on the new QB signing. They need to sew this guy up before March so they won't lose out when it becomes legal to actually sign him. Let's all pray for some JD magic.
ALTHOUGH....................White might not be here. He has garnered a lot of attention and some other team might snatch him up.A good thing to look at; since he runs a West Coast offense, we aren’t starting the learning process all over. Hopefully we are getting a master at teaching and modifying the system to the talent on the roster.
Also White showed if you can get him 3-4 seconds, he can execute in this system with the best of them, so having him on the roster gives us a solid plan B, if we strikeout on a veteran.
Very true, but the team would be foolish not to resign him. We can’t have Zach as the potential #1 or #2.ALTHOUGH....................White might not be here. He has garnered a lot of attention and some other team might snatch him up.
I actually agree with you on this, but, here's the problem for both of us. White has not shown enough, in my estimation, to get big money from JD who we all know to be frugal. Another team however with a more willing to spend minded GM in need of a QB might very well see the picture differently. Guess who White picks. I actually think the same could be said for Streveler.Very true, but the team would be foolish not to resign him. We can’t have Zach as the potential #1 or #2.
There is interest on both sides, so hopefully they get something done

You wish. We all know what your #2 team is my friend. Good luck there.Arizona
I can't disagree with this but I still think some other team will be willing to pay him more, because they see him as a starter, than the Jets will be willing to pay him to be a back up, and right now, that's how they view him, especially since they are shopping for a vet. It's a value thing. The only problem with White is that he was often injured, behind our OL. If the OL and running game gets fixed, then he could be a good less expensive answer, particularly in Hacket's system.
shopping for a vet....well we have been a dog & pony show.I can't disagree with this but I still think some other team will be willing to pay him more, because they see him as a starter, than the Jets will be willing to pay him to be a back up, and right now, that's how they view him, especially since they are shopping for a vet.
