Dude is worth that and more.
Jets prior to Berrios release were only $1 M under the cap.
His contract becomes guaranteed beginning of the season being a vested veteran, so would be smart of the front office to restructure his money to clear up some cap space.
expect some other moves to get people up in arms with roster moves, cap casualties.

9 mil for a starting LT is peanuts. You have this guy on the left and a healthy Becton on the right and we don’t need to worry about adding an OT early in the draft .
Plenty of candidates to go after . Corey Davis, Lawson, Aston Davis, JFM ECT.
I never thought of Becton as a bust, just unfortunate. I blamed what happened to him last year on the decision to move him to RT. He rehabbed all off-season expecting to complete for his LT position only to have to switch plant legs and be moved to RT.
