A lot of rumors linking Jets and Parker out there right now. He was a CB the Chiefs converted to safety to replace Berry when he went out. He had a great season at safety causing a lot of interest on the open market. I found a good article about him below, even if it has a Giants slant to it.
Ron Parker - DB - Chiefs
ESPN New York calls free agent S Ron Parker a "name to watch" for the Jets.
Parker has already been linked to the Jets, and is supposedly receiving interest from as many as seven teams.

Devin McCourty is the biggest prize in the free-agent safety market, but as the head of a thin class he will be extremely costly. That’s why the Giants are hedging their bets and looking at other potential replacements for Antrel Rolle.
One possibility that emerged on Saturday was Kansas City Chiefs safety Ron Parker, a speedy, 6-foot, 206-pounder who started 15 games last season. He began the season as a cornerback, but switched to safety to replace Pro Bowler Eric Berry, who was out at first with an ankle injury and later with Hodgkin lymphoma. The Giants were one of seven teams to express an interest in him in the first hours of free agency, according to an NFL source.
A product of tiny Newberry (S.C.) College – the same place the Giants found receiver Corey Washington – Parker ended up having a career season with 12 pass deflections and an interception. The high point was a November game where he played corner against Buffalo’s Sammy Watkins and held the star rookie to four catches for 27 yards even though he was targeted 10 times.
Parker is generally not mentioned among the top tier of free-agent safeties – a short list which mostly includes only McCourty and Denver’s Rahim Moore (both of whom interest the Giants) – but in this market he still should be able to get a deal worth $4-5 million per season. Many NFL agents believe McCourty’s deal will end up north of $9 million per season, with Moore’s deal falling somewhere in between.
Parker’s bottom line will be helped by the fact that seven teams had already expressed an interest on Day 1, including the Giants, Jets, Texans, Falcons, and Bucs. The Chiefs are apparently hoping to bring him back, too.
Meanwhile, word around the league was that the Giants were also looking for bargain pass rushers on the first day of free agency. The Giants reportedly expressed interest in Bucs DE Adrian Clayborn, a former first-round pick who missed all but one game of last season with a torn biceps. He actually missed most of two of the last four seasons with injuries, but had 7 ½ sacks as a rookie in 2011 and 5 ½ in 2013.
There wasn’t a lot of other news about the Giants on the first day of the “legal tampering” period, which began at noon on Saturday and ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday when free agents are finally allowed to sign contracts with other teams. That’s not surprising, because the first day is generally more important for the top-tier players and is more of a feeling-out day for everyone else.
Or as one NFL agent said, “The first day is for all the BS calls when everyone is interested in everybody. If they call back on Day 2, that’s when you know they’re serious.”
There was also no new news on any of the Giants’ 17 unrestricted free agents, many of whom seem destined to hit the open market on Tuesday afternoon. One exception could be safety Stevie Brown, whom the Giants had been trying to re-sign. They apparently would like to retain him and add a safety in free agency to go along with the two currently on their roster – Cooper Taylor and Nat Berhe.
