One pick in round 2, do we take BPA or trade down?

I am still befuddled that with all the conferences, Big 10, Pac12, SEC, ACC, etc., we couldn't find a viable tackle at 15?

If so, I'm hoping we go that route.
I would draft JMS move McGovern to RG and move AVT to RT, then have Becton split time with D Brown at LT. Just saying would give us some juice up front. Max Mitchell can be that 6th man and emergency backup Swing Tackle with Wes as the backup IOL

I like your thinking. Also of note is that McGovern's contract is really manageable <$2M in 2023, so there's that as well.

I think BPA.

If either Tippmann or JSM are available, I could see the Jets drafting there. Let them learn under McGovern. If they show they are capable, they could start.

Depth at tackle might come from within. If there are injuries, put whichever kid you draft at C. Shift McGovern to guard, AVT to one of the tackle spots. That may help make last night's decision easier for some to accept or rationalize.

It will be interesting to see if Levis is on the board at pick 43. Do we take him and punt Zach to Saturn? Levis can learn under Rodgers as well as Zach can. Plus, Levis is closer in comparison to Rodgers than Zach is….

OK, so many promising guys could be available at 43. At C, either Tippmann of JMS. If you want WR, Mingo is still on the board and projected early 2nd. TEs like the kid from Notre Dame and the Musgrave kid are available. Is it too early for Dawand Jones? I'm not sure if Jones fits the scheme, but a healthy Becton and Dawand Jones would give the team two MASSIVE pillars on both ends of the OL. And that's not even mentioning the potential for S, though I'm not sure how many safeties truly complement what we already have. Plus, I think the coaching staff is a lot higher on Tony Adams than the fans seem to be.

I think they look interior as opposed to OT. AVT is their flexibility piece that allows them this.
expect them to take OT with the 5th round pick
FIsher from Sheperd is the likely choice from what I heard.
If they want they can start AVT at LT, Max at RT and move McGovern to RG if they draft JMS to be the starting center.
Can then utilize Becton as the 6th man to show he can stay healthy and spot start him at LG, RG and/or RT. I think his time at LT is over.
