the ruckert thing might not be working out the way they had hoped when they drafted him..

In all due respects don't agree with that at all. The kid is a physical freak at the position and the potential is too much to pass up. He has a lot to work on, but the upside is immense. In the 7th round it's well worth the shot. He may not ready for a year or two but may push one of the older guys out at that point. Has nothing to do with Ruckert. This is what good organizations do, think about a year or two down the road.
i was a fan of the conklin & uzomah pickups but i was not anticipating those moves resulting in a redshirt year out of ruckert..
impossible not to be intrigued with kuntz' measurable gifts.. but that's kind of the problem..
if it becomes apparent the kid is not just a freak but an actual ball player you won't be able to hide him on the practice squad for any length of time..
