Kinda mixed on this one. If he desires to come to the AFC East then I rather take him than have him go to the Bills. On the other hand, his sitting out the last two games of 2022 when he was allegedly healthy questions his motivation. Saleh like guys that love the game. I don't know if the story is true.
He is very good but he is no fitz.
Are his numbers still good or have they dropped off due to the team he is playing for?
On reflection, I think we have our experienced WR in Lazzard and we still need to give Wilson a lot of balls, factor in Hardman as a gadget player, do we need to spend big money on a short term player or is it a case of now is the time to end the jinx and to hell with future planning?

Great post. He is very talented ok that is done.....but I think he would be a luxury at this point. Spend the money somewhere else...I am glad he is off the Cardinals now
There is a such a thing as having TO MANY WEAPONS!!! The Jets are already approaching that level and getting Hopkins would definitely put them over the top on that. That would have been the same if they would have signed OBJ. This will possibly cause beef in the locker room and animosity. That's the last thing the Jets need right now. There just wouldn't be enough balls to go around to all these players. D-Hop may have lost a little bit with all his injuries and age but he's still a top ranked WR, same with OBJ. They're in their early 30's and still beast. They're both good enough to be a #1 WRs still.
We already have that with G. Wilson and we have two very good #2 WRs with C. Davis and A. Lazard. M. Hardman makes an excellent slot guy and Mims and the rest can pick up the pieces when they get their chances. We can't forget our TEs and RBs that will want some passes also. D-Hop would cause a real cluster and TRUST, HE WILL WANT THE BALL as much as he did in Houston and Arizona and rightfully so. He's that damn good that he should want the ball that much! I personally don't think it's a good match, unless he's good with only catching about 40-50 catches for about 600-700 yards.
No to mention all the money he's going to want!

Good point but A-Rod can’t throw the ball 50 plus times every game. That’s the only way to keep all these guys happy. If he did that, then ofcourse they all would get theirs but he can’t and won’t. This will be a run heavy and short passing team many, if not most games. I just believe D-Hop will ultimately be very unhappy on this team, production and passing attempts wise. Same if they signed OBJ. Of course I could be wrong but that’s just my thinking!

Hopkins in would push Davis out. Win win. There's not 1 person here who wanted to keep Davis. Wilson and Hopkins would make the top reviving duo and adding Hardman, Lazzard or Mims to the mix would completely open up the offense. Plus keeping him off the Bills or Chiefs makes a Super Bowl win more likely.
Well I feel, based on years of mature experience, that AR would agree with me. So there.
