Two players that Joe Douglas has been fielding calls on are Receiver Corey Davis and Edge Bryce Huff. Wonder what the offers are and will they make the trade. Huff over Davis should be a must keep, he is a pure Jet from day one and we developed him into what he is today. Corey Davis right now is lost in a deep rotation and is expendable.

Thoughts?

I agree with the keep Huff (his efficiency last season was through the roof, lets get him some more snaps).

Davis is redundant with Lazard on the roster. I'd rather move on from him, and lets see what Mims has before we have to dump him or resign him.

Jets like a deep D line rotation, keep Huff, he’s more important, right now, than a future 3 or 4. Someone throws a 1st at you, then JJ, Lawson and McD need to handle the rush.
C. Davis probably won’t get too much back, he’s a good WR to have, even though he’s making 11 million.

I'd keep Huff, particularly in a win now year. He's established himself at a premium position, and at a reasonable price. Davis on the other hand hasn't really done enough imho to warrant the salary he is getting.

1. He has to stay healthy (he’s been on/off the field since we signed him)
2. He drops passes in his hands! Yes the QB play has sucked, but his play has sucked at times too
Just for reference he dropped 2 passes last season. He was targeted 64 times and caught 32. That says to me the QB's sucked at getting him the ball. The year before he was definitely hurt and had more drops, but more receptions. This past year he played 13 games. Even though I think he is replaceable, I think he has done enough to stay, but at a lower salary. As the 3rd or 4th WR and at a lower salary, I think I would keep him if Rodgers wants him.

Watching the games, he has plays that were 100% dead on him and didn't get attributed to a "official dropped pass".

Other than the occasional wide open bomb, this guy leaves nothing to be desired. He isn't making any special plays, he isn't making any tough contested catches. He may be a great blocker but is that really what you pay a premium for at the WR position?

I honestly can't understand where the love for this guy comes from?

I don't love him. I'm just pointing out it's not all his fault for poor production. I also believe a pay cut is in order and he is at best the #4 WR on this team. As a #4 he is better than most teams have. He was signed as a #1, but we drafted Wilson to replace him. Then we signed Hardman and Lazard. Is he good enough to be a #4 WR at a lower salary?? And does Rodgers make him better??
