The Winning Formula

I don't want to see the defense having to try to hold teams under 20 points every game. Last season they became frustrated with not getting sufficient offensive support.

Hopefully Hackett can put an offensive game plan together that is a winning formula.
That is exactly what I’m petrified of and what I was thinking after Rodgers went down. I felt like the offense had no chance of scoring unless the running game made it happen. Zach played better than expected and hopefully he can keep that going. If so, the Jets can win a lot of games and be a playoff team. Maybe not a threat but a playoff team nonetheless.

Well, the Jets were a winning team last year with Zach, when Vera Tucker and Breece Hall were healthy. The oline got decimated and the running game went kaput.
I’m not saying Zach didn’t struggle terribly.
What I am saying is, with a “healthy”, better Oline in front of him, Hall & Cook to hand off to, a full years growth from Garrett and upgrades to Berrios, with this Defense, who fucking knows what can happen.
I’m heading to Dallas in a couple of hours to go watch my Jets in Arlington.
Hoping for a good game, praying for a win.

True. But where are they getting the better oline from at this point?

I defer to the OL expert(s) here (and you know who you are) but, the right side of the OL can be dominant in the run game and from what I saw not bad in pass pro either. Brown should improve as he gets his legs under him, and if Laken doesn't improve the rookie will take his place. Big improvement over last year.

I’m no expert. I usually ask @SackExchange for his technical opinion, but for the 3 pass plays that Rodgers was in for, he ran for his life on all 3. Some are saying it was Rodgers fault. I don’t know, but if your qb gets hit on 3 straight drop backs, either the line stinks, or the qb is clueless. I’d bet on the line in this case.

if Dallas ends zachs season this week, we’ll see which is the case then
