I’m sure many of you were there this past Monday night but if you weren’t, let me explain. It was like no other game you’ve probably ever attended. Reports are that they sold more tickets and there were more people there than it was at the actually Super Bowl a few years back. The Broncos vs. Panthers (I believe). Reports are also that the television ratings were the highest it’s ever been for a Monday night football game.

Other than Rodgers going down, the day couldn’t have gone any better. It rained like hell while we were tailgating and stopped about 6:45. Perfect timing right before the game started. Everything about the night was like nothing you could every imagine. Everything just felt different! Walking to the stadium and seeing thousands of people filled with real hope and excitement. The shit was a feeling like no other. Nothing I’ve ever experienced anyway.

It took forever to get in the stadium because it was so many people. The stadium felt like it was moving, it was so damn loud and it was so many damn people there. Everything just seemed different and special. Even though I missed it because we were waiting to get in the stadium, Rodgers running on the field with the American flag was special, the stadium was so damn loud it was ridiculous. The moment of silence for 9-11 was special. The National Anthem, etc. etc..

I personally think they sold more tickets than they had seats in the place. There wasn’t an empty seat or space in the staduim. It took forever to get back to your seat, if you went to get a snack or use the bathroom. It was standing room only and it felt like a damn Super Bowl game, pretty much! Even though I’ve never been to one, I can only assume! I’ve never been to a Wrestle mania either, so I’m assuming that would be the same type of energy.

Even after Rodgers went down, it didn’t take long at all for the stadium to rally around the team and get back into it. It was so loud in there and I had such a headache by halftime. Before halftime really! The energy in the building was nothing I’ve ever experienced and I’ll never forget it. The wrist bands they gave us that glowed in the dark was cool as shit! Everything about that night was perfect, other than you know what!

Lastly, when the team rallied back, tying and winning the game was like no other, the stadium erupted and I’m surprised the building didn’t collapse. Thank God it didn’t. We absolutely lost it and it was a feeling like we just won the Super Bowl but it was just game one of the season and only one win! It was the craziest thing but it was a feeling like nothing else! This would have been such a special season but maybe it still can. For whatever that’s worth!

I believe that is was the highest rated MNF game watched as well. All fans and haters wanted to see whatever their reason. Sundays can be like that so long as the Jets remain competitive and win. First we bring the Pokes back to earth, then we slaughter the Patsies.
