Well we will be able to see more flaws on this roster over the next few games. I hate to be the voice of reason, but lets not overreact to one game. Everyone had a piss poor showing (including the coaches), the team was not prepared and that is 100% on the CS.

Our defense is showing they are severely overrated! They only seem to play up against inferior opponents (sans Buffalo), but can't seem to look elite against elite teams. And as far as Zach is concerned, I saw a more confident (even in his interview, he said the right things which last year he would have screwed that up), more upbeat exact version of the QB from last year. He does some nice things that show you the talent, then he does some really boneheaded things that show you the immaturity.

Personally I just don't think he is ever going to get it. His talent simply cannot overcome his lack of field vision and instincts. He's got 15 more games to show something, I'm just not convinced that he can do a complete 180 and become "that guy"

We were all agog yesterday watching the Geno highlights. How the frig did he finally figure it out? To me, it's completely shocking.

He might have figured it out while he was here, but having won the starting job he had his jaw broken by a teammate. Only the Jets.

My son and I talk/gripe about this almost every day. Zach Wilson was on no one's radar. Then, in typical Jet idiocy, they immediately anoint Zach the starter and make him a captain. The kid had done nothing to deserve this. It was clear as day watching his first starts that he was not prepared or worthy to lead the team. Just was not at an NFL level. Not even practice squad.

In typical Jets fashion they completely mishandled this AGAIN!! Zach should have been QB #3 (he wasn't going to miraculously figure it out just by watching Rodgers in OTA's and camp), but the egos were just too shallow to admit they really needed to pull back and sit/reset the kid.

So here we are, with another season of seeing if Zach can figure it out. Benching him now unfortunately is a worse decision than playing him. Ride it out and lets get a good first round draft pick.

This has nothing to do with Zach's failure as a QB. Since Darnold, we have not been able to build an Offensive line. What is the major malfunction?

Not arguing that but who at this point are they supposed to get/trade for that wouldn’t cost them a fortune? Who are they supposed to sign/FA that is that much better than Zach? Who are they to get at this point that will take them to the playoffs at this point?

He was the consensus #2 behind Lawrence. No one else had a chance after Jax took Lawrence,Jets were on the clock. Douglas turned down multiple offers for the pick from teams looking to get Zach.
Unfortunately he didn't live up to expectations.
It happens,but trying to force a bad pick because of his draft position never ends well.
If Wilson was a late round pick,he would be cut and there wouldn't be any supporters claiming he has improved.

Joe Douglas has a tendency to draft for the high ceiling bypassing the ready now players. Been plugging in old has been players waiting for young guys to develop. Great strategy for late rounds but disaster in the making for early picks.
Old has beens go down, young guy gets forced in and gets set back. Been the common routine past 5 years.

The specialist he wanted to do the surgery is out there, so for the surgery and initial follow ups he needs to be out West.

Now he isn’t someone I thought of. He might just work. However; he won’t just come in and the next week be ready to take this team and lead them to victories. It will take him, like anyone else a few weeks to get into the swing of things. By then, we’re talking the Jets being 1-5 or worse anyway. So I don’t know what the solution is, actually I do and his name was Aaron freaking Rodgers!

IMO, he will be good for 6 wins. This team has been overrated all off season. Making the playoffs with Rodgers was going to be tough. At this point I don't want to bring someone like Brissett in to make them mediocre unless they can get him for a 6th or 7th. He isn't worth anything higher.

This is exactly what I’m talking about TCT. Because teams know we’re desperate, they’ll ask for a 3rd rounder for someone like Brissett. Who’s probably worth a 5th at best. The Vikings would want a 1st rounder! Are you fucking serious! Titans would ask for 2nd or 3rd at worst for Tannehill. The Jets needs those picks for the olinemen and whatever else next year. Do not draft a QB until the 5th rounder or later. Anything before that, the kid is guaranteed to fail.

I think he could get more than 6 wins. He is accurate and doesn't throw the picks. A solid game manager, who can run. Will keep Defenses honest.
