You can't silence people like that, it was disgusting, the whole world of sport has been kneeling ever since.
They didn't silence him. They just said you can't work here anymore.
So they silenced him by not allowing him near a pitch to kneel in protest, it is the very essence of being silenced, come on guy ffs.
He still was out there doing commercials and making his money. More than he did from the NFL His bosses got tired of him. I'm not saying it was right, but it was 7 years ago and the fact is he wasn't a very good QB when he left and 7 years later nobody wants the baggage he brings. As a fan of a team that is the biggest joke in sports, I definitely don't want to see a bigger circus come to town.
I don't think anybody was advocating for him to be the Jets QB this season tbh
Jets are known to do dumb things. I would list them, but none of us have that much time left to live.
