You don't get bonus points for running up a large score. And there is no point building up a grudge for the next time you play that team. When Reid took out Mahomes at halftime against the Bears he not only protected him against the possibility of injury but he gave the backup some playing time, and as the Jets found out you never know when the backup will become the starter.
