I miss days when I'd eat a bunch of candy. As a kid growing up in the 60s, I spent an inordinate amount of time in our local candy store(s). My 25 cent allowance bought 15 pieces of penny candy, plus a comic book. My teeth paid the price later in life with my dentist making out like a bandit.
Yup. And the "underground" hot dogs at the counter by the shuttle at the Times Square station.
Near Times Square was a place that served hot dogs, burgers,french fries by getting it yourself. No waiter service, but at age 14,what did we care? The place? Grant's .
