It’s not that hard. JD’s problem is he’s had bad luck with injuries in regards to his draft picks and Tomlinson just for what ever reason didn’t pay off. He wasn’t a bad signing at the time.
I would argue that Becton was a bad pick. Injuries didn't help him but he is just not that good. The pick was Wirfs, Jefferson or Lamb. AVT might be great if healthy. Tippmann is definitely a long way from being great.
I’m willing to give JD a pass on Becton. I wasn’t a fan of Wirfs and I still am not . I do believe that this regime would have taken Wirfs over Becton because he was a better fit for LaFleur’s scheme.

Also will there be enough Good O Linemen in free agency to get 3 to 4 guys to go with Drafted O Linemen to get a total of 6 as starters and back ups to keep them fresh all game! Huh? What happened with you guys trashing me over my comments of Becton out of shape and unprofessional after his first great season? Glad it only took 3 years for you guys to figure it out! I wanted Becton and thought the risk vs reward was good! But GM fracked up not putting a weight clause in his contract and conditions on working out in off season. If Jets done that I think by this time Becton would be one of top Lineman in NFL. Everyone knew Bectons weight issue and control of his eating and before giving him that Crazy money weight restriction should been in place! GM is responsible for Becton fail and also for starting Rookie QB Zach in first year both of these was great picks but handling of both was horrible!
