Yeah I don't think the Jets suck because they couldn't beat the Pats. I do think they suck because they have incompetence at every single level of the organization. Go Jets

Lol, and this is not a new occurrence. The level of incompetence has gone unchanged for decades. The names have changed both in the Front Office and the Coaching Staff but they consistently make the same mistakes over and over. It's become comical at this point.
I doubt Belichick really wanted to be tied for the most losses ever.

who cares what belichick did as a young coach in Cleveland? Most guys don’t succeed their first shot. He did go 11-5 the one year.
i look at this stat. In the cheatah games that Brady didn’t play, belichick coached the cheatahs to a 14-6 record . Cassel , Brisset , and I forget the other qb for one game, but those guys with the same team as Brady had, also went 14-6 under belichick. Small sample, but proves to me it was the system. Besides, the system, was the Parcells system which obviously worked for Parcells
brady went to Tampa. A perfect place for him. Great offensive line, great defense, great receivers, then add in Gronk and Fornette. Perfect place for him to win. Also, he was now in the nfc where the competition was slim. Also remember that it was the covid year where tons of guys sat out. Guess how many buccaneers sat out? ZERO
when Brady left the cheatahs, he couldn’t take them to the SB on his own the last year because there was not the usual amount of talent around him and no Dante Scarnechia coaching the oline. He left while they were in rebuild mode and he knew he couldn’t win in rebuild mode
just like in Tampa when some of the talent declined. He ended with a losing record because the talent around him wasn’t great. Heck, Baker Mayfield just did a better job with a worse Tampa team.
belichick and Brady both needed talent around them to be what they were.
i will say this too. Without Brady, belichick exists. Without belichick, Brady wasn’t drafted
one thing though. Belichick will also need the perfect team to succeed. His way of coaching doesn’t work with these young kids who don’t like being yelled at and told what to do. No matter how great he is, his time may be done. He also may end up as Eagles coach and win the SB. Who knows

Surprising. I figured it would be a media circus. I hate to compliment the friggin Patriots but they run a tight ship. Smart move having their guy locked up AND in house to seamlessly replace a legendary HC.
Like him or not, Kraft is no dope. During yesterday's press conference, Kraft spoke about sitting on the metal seats with his son in the old Foxboro stadium. And his passion for the team as well as his personal commitment/stewardship as owner. I doubt Woody Johnson ever attended a football game before he bought the team. And if he did, it was in a luxury box. The difference between the two owners is miles apart.

Since when does is the owner supposed to be knowledgeable about the game. It’s an investment to some like Woody . I have no problem with someone who’s willing to put their money where their invest their money. Nobody can ever accuse the Jets owner of being cheap when it comes to acquiring players.
