Sorry in advance bigmoe .You can read this in stages..........but...........this Aaron Rogers debate has gone on long enough. Ist off......I actually heard Rogers say he was upset with Glenn because he let him travel on his own dime all the way to the facility just to tell him they were moving on from him when they could just as easily have done that with a phone call saving him the trip. Let's think about that for a moment. OK we thought about it......, and guess what ? We all know Roger's pretty well and I would be willing to bet that if Glenn had used the phone to cut ties Rogers would then be complaining that Glenn didn't give him the courtesy of doing it face to face. 2nd thing ........I read that Rogers claims that Glenn said he was concerned that every time he said something in a team meeting all the players would be looking back at Rogers to see if what he said was OK with him. Now I don't know if Rogers truly said that or not, but, I do believe that would be the case. That being said, just how can a coach, especially a new coach, possibly do a decent job of coaching if he has to get approval from his QB every step of the way ? I do appreciate how amazing Rogers, the QB, was for so many years but that guy is gone. All that's left is the player that wants everything his way even though his way doesn't work any more. That is really why he hasn't signed with a contending team yet. No team wants to deal with that situation. It's Steelers or retirement for him because all the other teams that might have been interested are tired of being held ransom by his personality.

@butterscotch 😂

They all live in a different world . They really do . That amount of $$$$ has to corrupt them and it’s gone crazy . Except for a select few .
And they think or try to influence us ? My great grandfather died in in a coal mine collapse and the family got $00.00 . Imagine that today ?

They could really all go fuck themselves . All but @butterscotch
Of course 😃
For a second I thought I was in good company

I agree with the first part. Phone call would have been bad too. I think I would have flown him in, but both can afford the flight so who cares

but, everything that I hear Rodgers say, makes me like him. I’m not sure he really acts the way people say he does. But I can’t really know. I can only go buy his interviews

i hate the Steelers, but if Rodgers goes there and doesn’t really do all the BS stuff that people accuse him of, then I hope he succeeds

You asked for it. Fields to the Jets................OMG from bad to worse. Who would've thunk it possible. This kid has sucked right from the get go. But wait. We all know some of these guys take longer to get their act together. A couple good examples .........Sam Darnold, Geno Smith. His history, so far, isn't all bad. He does have talent, especially as a dual treat QB. He played well during that period when he was filling in for Russel Wilson. Teams hate dealing with his running on them. Problem is that he just hasn't been able to be consistently efficient. Coach Glenn is convinced that he can elevate his game. I'm not convinced, especially because he signed up a whole bunch of players during the off season that fall into the same category of needing retraining to get their production up to where it needs to be. Everyone of any coaching stature that knows Glenn raves at how good he is at that. I want to believe that's the case. I hope that's the case, but, my fear is that he might be biting off more than he can chew. It looks to me like he's spreading himself to thin. IF Aaron Glenn can pull off this football miracle that I'm going to call "The Great Retraining Project" I will admire and respect him forever. And.........from the bottom of my heart I'm rooting for him and hoping he is extremely successful.

I don't really dislike Aaron Rogers. He is great with most of his team mates, though not all. He's generally good for the locker room. When he's on the field he gives it all and doesn't quit even when playing injured. My problem with him is his need to call all of the shots. There were many times he changed plays that didn't work out as well as the called play would have. Maybe because he's lost a step and can't operate as fast as he once could. Sometimes it wasn't his fault. It was someone that wasn't on the same page as him. It's his job to see to it that they are on the same page. I will say that I think he is better than any of the QBs in this draft. These new QBs haven't had a chance yet to refine their skill so they could wind up being as good or better than him in time. Rogers' inclination to change things up isn't going to mesh well with any coaching staff trying to develop a new and different kind of culture. It's not that he isn't good. It's just that he doesn't quite fit Glenn's vision of run first football.
