The rumor was the Jets tried to rush him back so the Jets probably did ruin another QB just this time without playing him.
Travis said his injury just failed to rehab as they had hoped. No need to turn it into another anti-Jets narrative.
Presumably the Jets' staff must have known the way things were trending for a while, but gave Travis the chance to reconcile himself with his fate in his own time. In which case it is a little odd that they didn't pursue somebody like McCord or Ewers in the lower rounds of the draft.
A likely timeline is that the Jets' doctors advised him that it was over round about the time his agent accused the Jets of rushing his rehab and Jordan removed the Jets from his social media, and now he has overcome his disappointment and regained his composure.

I'm just saying what the rumor was from his agent. I don't know the truth, but the Jets have been accused of stuff before especially under Joe Douglas. Luckily he is gone.
I'm really feeling for him. Believe me , he is really a great young man. I pray for his full recovery and future . Keep your head high Jordan and embrace the future.
I kinda saw this coming. No rehab updates, especially on a Team as QB needy as this one always has been.
I loved JT coming out. I even wanted the Jets to draft the Kid. This would've been a hell of a story if JT made it back, because the injury was that catastrophic.
It's sad because this is a kid you want to pull for to succeed.

Maybe he realized that he could not play at such a low level as other jet Qbs. It is sad.
Yeah toooo bad we did not pick up an older hall of fame Qb for at least three years.
