Defense is looking damn good. A little too damn aggressive with all the penalties but all the turnovers they are causing, gotta give them a pass on that!

Yeah I don't like the penalties, but at least they were being too aggressive and not getting delay of game penalties with a 40 year old QB.

Martinez doesn't look too bad.
They played well today. Even the back-ups. The running game wasn't as dominant as I had hoped it would be but it was decent. I liked what I saw. They still need to clean up up some penalties, though not nearly as bad as we are used to and improve on the run stopping. Over all I was happily impressed. I'm actually looking forward to the next game for a change. Imagine that............
But I'd still like Fields to show that he can produce touchdowns with his arm instead of his feet.

It was a preseason game. Not much can be taken from it. I already knew Fields was way more athletic than Rodgers. Like others have said I need to see him throw the ball effectively otherwise we wasted a lot of money on Garrett Wilson. The best part is we didn't embarrass ourselves. I'm not any more excited for the season than I was before. I like that AG got into some players for their stupidity. There was a different energy level. I think we will be competitive, but not very exciting which is more than we ever got from the Saleh days.

Disagree about the paying GW part. No matter who the QB, the Jets gotta pay that man and keep him here, at all cost. He doesn’t seem or appear to be the type to want the bleed a team dry anyway. He loves football, loves the Jets and is a team player, within reason of course.
Also, it’s pretty clear that he’ll give us at least 85 catches and at least 1000 yards, no matter who’s throwing him the ball. He’s proven that already for three years now. You can’t let someone like that walk out the door or trade him. You get every quality year and then some outta GW.
In other words, you make him a life long Jet!
