So I watched the Jets @ Giants game again and truly paid attention to the young man and I must say, I was sorta impressed! Yes, he was going up against 3rd and 4th stringers. Maybe even players who won’t make either team or any NFL team but he was impressive nonetheless.
Getting the ball out of his hands with quick and decisive decisions. Accurate passes and moving the ball with multiple 15-20 yard passes. Stayed in the pocket with poise and he took a couple of tuff shots also. Now I’m not throwing in the towel on Justin Fields just yet but I need to see what I need to see!
I know this will be a running offense, no matter who the QB is but you gotta show us something! At least attempt a few passes down the field. I’m rooting for Justin and hoping he’s our guy but if he doesn’t show and prove I’d say by mid-season, then I’ll truly start to doubt him. Just like the Jets did with Darnold, Sanchez, G. Smith and Wilson, you gotta go!
So I’m still all in on Fields but he’s gotta play up to his abilities and talents and get out of his freaking head. I truly hope when the real games start, they open the offense up for him to at least see some down hill throws. Question is, if they do that, will he take them and throw the damn ball? I guess we’ll see.
So could we possibly have our version of Brock Purdy here in Cook? NOT!!! Shit like that just NEVER SEEMS TO HAPPEN FOR THE Jets! I read on a couple of comments on Jets videos on YouTube, that Brady Cook needs to be taken seriously. So I decided to take a closer look. Thoughts?
