Indeed, since Johnson was a Moggie acquisition. A bit surprising to see Barnes go, since Jamin Davis was cut instead of him. Even more surprising that Ruckert is clinging on. Just watched the Jelani Woods highlights, the guy was a beast until he got a hamstring injury in his second season and needed toe surgery in his third. I guess we are expecting a lot of 2 TE sets. It would have been surprising if Mitchell had been cut for Pole, who is a UDFA who Glenn describes as a 'project'.

I think Pole has considerably more upside that Mitchell. Barnes was replaced by Jones , Ruckert must have photos of Woody in a compromising position to still be on the roster .

Ruckert must be WITH Woody in the compromising position. But it is still possible that they hope to trade him and reinstate Johnson from the PS.

Not disputing Pole's upside but you wouldn't want him as first man up if Fashanu gets injured. Possible that they will look for a solid vet from the cuts to replace Mitchell.

Irony is that Jalani Woods shook loose because the Dolts drafted Tyler Warren, who @Bigmoe was salivating over a few months ago.

Jets have released Leonard Taylor, who has played in several games and performed OK as a backup DL. Has to be a tactical move to resign him to the PS,

Jets have signed a project CB Samuel Womack to the PS and released pre-season standout WR Brandon Smith. To let this guy go without giving him a chance must mean they feel stacked at WR, though many will be scratching their heads as to why Lazard was kept instead. DT Byron Cowart was also released from injured reserve without playing a regular season snap, not sure if this is an availability thing.

Irony is that Jalani Woods shook loose because the Dolts drafted Tyler Warren, who @Bigmoe was salivating over a few months ago.

And that with a team that has 3 really good WR s and a tremendous RB

OTOH Woods is an enigma. He is permanently inactive yet they haven't tried to shuffle him to the PS, presumably because they think another franchise will pick him up.
