Build on that ?
Win a fucking game and then build on that
Sorry I’m pissed at myself not you
I know you are pissed, but let's look at it this way. The Jets fumbled a KO and then the Steelers needed a lucky rebound catch and then a 60 fuckin yard FG to win. He misses and we win. How many times will someone make a 60 yard FG? This was a fun game. Fields might be decent. The OL was very good. Breece looked like he did as a rookie. Defense needs to be way better, but the DL hit Rodgers a lot. I want to win as much as anyone here, but sometimes you have to learn how to win.

All of that shit will happen to the jets every time it has a chance to. You know that!

Well first game of the season finally LOL.

So I was pleasantly surprised to see the offense was able to move the ball and get points on the board. We were efficient and we have a really good running game (either that or Pittsburgh can't stop the run for shit).

That being said, the defense needs a lot of work. Pass rush did it's thing, but we are still suspect covering the middle of the field and Stephens looks like he is going to be a huge liability if Aaron Glenn and Co. can't fix his issues.

Tough loss today and we probably win if Gipson didn't fumble that ball away (he is still the same player he was last year, I was waiting for "when" this dude muffs a punt or fumble aways the ball, and unfortunately he didn't disappoint).

Game was entertaining, team looked organized and disciplined (which is not something we could say last year). Hopefully this is something to build on.
I can't understand AG using Gipson as a returner after viewing last season tape. If they don't put super glue on his hands it's going to be a case of repeat, repeat, and repeat.

the Steelers needed a lucky rebound catch
I had a flashback to the game at Shea when the ball bounced off the hands of two Jets defenders and fell into the hands on Warren Wells, who was lying on his back in the end zone, for the winning TD.
I punched a concrete wall so hard I chipped the stone on my college ring. I still wear it as a reminder of bad Jets luck.

I feel the same. The team was damn impressive today. Especially compared to what we’ve seen over the past decade or so. So this is definitely something to build off of. Justin looks to actually be a real freaking quarterback. The oline and runny game is legit. Even without AVT. Our WR (excluding Wilson of course) are suspect as hell but even they played their roll. Defense needs to step up and I think they can get that together. Now Gibson is another issue! A decision needs to made on him, LIKE NOW!

Excluding tonights game which isn’t over yet, the jets defense gave up the most points of any defense this week… and they gave them up to a guy who couldn’t score any points the past 2 years

Now the Bills have allowed more points. Two worst defenses in the NFL after week 1 playing for first next week.

Might be a bit harsh to cut Gipson after one fumble. He was only there because Nwangwu lasted one play before getting injured again. Now if he fumbles another.....

Meanwhile just because Gipson fumbled doesn't mean the defense have to give up a one-play touchdown. The bigger problem is Stephens, who apart from the missed INT and the PI could be seen on multiple plays forlornly chasing the ball carrier. He is going to be targetted by every opponent.

But we still have to wonder, when will this team EVER make a key 4th quarter stop?
That is as much coaching as talent, but neither as much as toughness.(mental and physical)

Look let's see when opposing teams look at our tapes. If they figure out are limited o watch out

I agree the next 45 years should be interesting & educational.

Remembering that the Bills and Ravens defenses were up against two MVP candidate QBs plus a rejuvenated 'King' Henry (didn't he seem washed up years ago?) while the Jets and Steelers were facing an OAP candidate QB and a guy rejected by his two previous teams.

Fields played well but Allen is Fields on steroids.
