Though I've just watched a video that agreed with what I've said before. Engstrand is part of the problem. He was supposed to be running an offense that catered to Fields' strengths and instead he ran a plain vanilla NFL offense in the hope that Fields would adjust.

I think most fans knew Fields was not an NFL QB, but he had some moments in his career. It sucks that he couldn't improve and that the Jets wasted another season. If we had won a few of those early games, I think Quinnen and Sauce would still be here. We have assets because two teams gave up picks because they thought those players would catapult their teams to the playoffs. Those trades were great for us, but horrible for them. Fields did cost us a game vs the Bengals with one of his best performances of his career. That comeback win has us at #4 instead of #2 with a legit shot at #1 pick.

Is there an offense that caters to Fields other than 100% running plays?

Especially on Defense.

I honestly thought Fields had a chance to be something average to above average at least. Man was I wrong!

I thought Feilds had a chance with our team. A team that was going to run heavy, with decent TE weapons and a oline. Now I know they were hurting at WR and I never agreed to letting D. Adams walk. Needless to say, not quite sure if any of it matters because you’re right, Fields isn’t a real QB. He’s a RB that just so happens to be able to throw the ball. So he will never see the field like a true QB will. I see that now!

Chad and Vinny are what this team needs to replicate. Sign a vet, draft a QB and let him sit behind the vet .

Fields didn’t come out in the same draft as Darnold. Darnold was drafted a few years before Lawrence, Z. Wilson and Fields. I personally wanted Fields over Zach Wilson, not over Lawrence!
