Chambliss is tiny, inconsistent and far from NFL ready. He may be listed at 6 1 but is actually below 6 ft.
It's a one QB class at the moment. Moore could make it interesting , he has stated again this week that he has not made any decisions regarding the draft or returning for another year.
It's unfortunate that Carroll was fired because he was in love with him.
I know you all want to draft a FQB this year but it's not likely that one is available, so the solution is to build the roster and yes,draft the QB next year when there are numerous worthy QBs who should be available. Forcing the pick and drafting a bust does nothing for the team. Trade down and accumulate more picks. Get the top CB or edge, get a top WR at 15 fill foles with the multiple second and third round picks. After QB there's still 3 first round picks next season with a trade back. Set the new kid up for success.

I’ll keep an eye out on him. He’s about 24-25 years old but has great size. If it’s truly accurate at 6’4” and 225 pounds. Might be a decent flyer pick at the 4th or 5th round. Especially if Moore doesn’t come out this year.

You're not paying attention Big guy.................Chambliss is so small that his feet don't even touch the ground when he sits on the bench. He will rarely, if ever, be consistent at hitting fast, good receivers down field in the NFL. He can run, throw screens and not much else. Defenses will love and destroy him.

If Dante Moore does actually declare for the draft, he has I'm told, until the 23rd to do so, I think the Jets will draft him. I'm not convinced that he is franchise material, but not having to trade up to get him means we get him cheap enough that we can afford to give him a shot and still have plenty of capital to upgrade the rest of the team. Many believe that next years QB class is going to be better. I don't necessarily agree with that. What do they base that on ? Their high school coaches ? They certainly couldn't have put much tape out there to study. So how the hell do they know ? I've always believed that a bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bushes. That being said, I'm good with giving him a shot if he declares and bringing in the best vet possible just in case he shits the bed.

I say again, SOMEBODY has to be QB1 next year. Is there anyone likely to be available and come here who you do like?

If not Mac Jones I would think that we could get Geno from the Faiders for a low pick after they take Mendoza (grumble grumble anyone but him.......). All of these guys are better than what we have,

Of course that would depend on the veteran and the fact is we need to also acquire both a starter and a back-up. I have a feeling that the Jets are going to vacate the QB room and start over.

I don't have a problem with Moore's maturity. It's his limited experience that gives me some concern.

Chambliss is a waste of a pick. He's so unready that he is requesting a waiver for a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA to improve his game and potential success in the next NFL draft .
trade for Mac Jones is interesting. He's a bottom 15 starter and not currently available. If he could be had for a late round pick, I'd be onboard. Purdy has a history of missed games, Jones is a great back up in the 49ers system. On a cheap deal. Don't think it's a probable scenario.

There's 7 QBs in college coming out next year with a first round grade 8 of Moore returns. It's a much better class than this year based on college performance

I know that's the consensus but I just don't trust it. If they played this year there will be good tape for evaluation for this and next seasons draft. If they didn't play this season evaluating them will be difficult. If they played this year and don't get drafted or don't declare that tape will still be there with more added which then likely would improve their value. It's a very gray area for me. I don't feel comfortable accepting something that hasn't happened yet.
