I was hoping Flores would somehow become available but Minnesota has locked Him in at DC unless He gets an opportunity at HC.

As the draft approaches the stock of the available QBs is likely to rise. Nussmeier could move into the second round. Yes you are overdrafting, but if you don't have a QB........

I still like the QB from Penn St (Allar) who broke his ankle back in October.
I have no problem with Allar as a project but I wonder how big a priority project guys will be with Glenn and Moggie in the coming draft. They need to win now, and you'd think they would take a player who can contribute a little immediately over someone who might help a future administration a lot. The same argument goes for Ty Simpson, if he can't start immediately he's not useful.
I don't think the Jets will take a QB early. There really isn't a QB who could come in and start right away. Even Mendoza could use some time behind an experienced veteran QB. If Brady has as much say in operations as reported He will know that and proceed accordingly. Unless Mendoza blows them away in TC and forces the issue I don't think he is the Raiders week 1 starter.

So the next thing is that Moggie picked up Hendon Hooker, who has played few games due to an injury at college, at the end of last season. Could he be the project guy?
My belief is that they will take a QB and no later than round 2. Hooker is an exclusive rights free agent so it wouldn't cost much to retain him but even if he is retained he will be competing for a back up position at best and more likely the #3 spot.
Hooker was with the Lions. I can't see them counting on him for anything more than a backup role. Unless He's the next Sam Darnold. I just don't see him being a major contributor based on his body of work so far.
