Love was such an easy game to play

yesterday morning we were going 17-0 and continuing the winning right through the post season and a Super Bowl win

by bed time, we were bad enough to get the #1 pick but winning just enough games to miss out on the top QB’s just to piss off the fans

the oline sucked and ultimately that’s why we lost. Of course there were a lot of other reasons too, but we couldn’t run the ball all game. Geno got hit a lot.

and 3rd and 2, 2 runs and 1 yard. We all could have called Vegas and bet that would happen cause we’ve seen it a zillion times before

Many frustrating issues for me in this game was:

1. They got away from the running attack way too soon and they threw the ball way too much. That is not our strength. No I’m not necessarily blaming the game on Geno because he was OK, but he wasn’t lights out either. I personally don’t want him throwing 41 times unless our passing attack is hitting on all cylinders and it wasn’t. They should not have given up on the running attack. I feel eventually it would’ve caught on. Only 16 rushing attempts for Breece and 5 for Brealon is unacceptable.

2. The coaching time of possession, time outs and strategy as a whole needs to get better. Besides, giving up on a rushing attack too soon, the time of possession thinking and use of time outs at the end of halftime and at the end of the game was horrible. AG needs to get better!

3. Defense played excellent but fell apart in the fourth quarter and causing 4 fumbles but only recovering one of them is disgusting. I don’t know if they got tired in the fourth quarter or what but I don’t see how they could have when the Jets were owning the time of possession game.

4. The Jets offense still needs to improve in so many ways and what happened to our offensive line in this game? They got punked for pretty much the entire game and that I was not expecting. They should be taking that personally.

5. Special teams sucked this game. Especially Williams with the 2 muffed punts. Also giving up that big kickoff or punt return for about 60 yards didn’t help either.

Overall, the Jets didn’t want this game as bad as the Packers did and it in showed the final score. This is exactly what I feared and I mentioned it in one of these threads before the game. The Jets dominated the game in all fashions and still finding a way to lose and they did.

I thought I posted a picture of these stats but maybe not! Yeah, this is a historical bad and freaking embarrassing stat line that may not ever be done again. At least not for another 40-years. This is probably worse than going a full season without an interception. SMDH!

I’m trying my best to give AG some grace here and I will but like said before, if Aaron Glenn does not get this team to a competitive and competent state this year, then he has to go. We can’t go into next year drafting our supposed franchise 1st round QB with a head coach that’s on the chopping block.

Yeah, there were two bad decisions by Glenn (not calling timeout to set up Packers' Hail Mary, taking the ball in OT when both sides were struggling on offense) and we called those at the time. The defense were OK despite key injuries and Geno still hasn't turned the ball over (one near-INT), but the biggest mystery is the failure of the rushing game. Without watching the coaches' film I cannot explain this. As for not persisting with it, others have criticised Reich for continuing to run up the middle. Isaiah Williams hurt us early with his punt muffs and illegal fait catch signal, without those we might have taken a grip of the game. The good news is that Sanders was spotless. The problem on Sunday wasn't the QB.

I want to see them scheme to get Sadiq with the ball in the opposition secondary.

Agreed! It’s obvious to me that they need Cooper Jr. back desperately also.

Another thing that I’m realizing is that G. Wilson has all the skill/talents of a #1 WR but not the size or the mentality of one. IMO, if Wilson did have the mentality of a #1 WR, then he wouldn’t have asked to moved from the slot after week 1. He mainly asked to keep him from taking shots in the middle. To me, a #1 WR wouldn’t do that. They’ll play wherever it’s needed.

Huge dilemma because I don’t believe that A. Mitchell is a #1 WR also. He has the size of one and maybe even the skill/talent but I don’t think he has the mentality of one. Which leaves me wondering if Cooper Jr can be that for us. I don’t know if he can but he’ll help significantly and take the pressure off the other two overall. That one catch and run was very, very impressive!
