SG, thanks but I've tried to draft the last 2 years by 'remote control' and it really doesn't work; if you get the draft wrong your season is sunk, hence finishing 12th and 11th respectively.

And with that record I really don't fit Hammers 'Elite' category lol.....

For the record shanghai, my elite category refers only to the level of commitment and competitiveness guys bring to the game, not how good or bad they are. None of us are fantasy football experts, certainly I'm not, so thats not a requirement here. All thats required is:

A) You show up for the draft.

B) You maintain your roster (pre-rank your draft board to make the live draft easier, set weekly roster, injuries, waiver wire, free agents etc.) and stay competitive all year, win or lose.

If you can do those few things, you are more than welcome to join. I'll even give you some links to use so you can pre-rank your draft board if thats your biggest concern. You'll need to rank at least 180 players because thats the amount we draft as a league in total, and that will require some time, its the most time consuming thing you will do all year, the rest is easy, but its worth the time because it will prepare you to draft a stronger team, and I'll give you some cheat sheets to use that can assist you in getting your draft board pre-ranked.

THATS THE KEY TO FANTASY FOOTBALL, Shanghai, you gotta put in the time and draft well, thats why I place such an emphasis on everyone actually showing up for the draft, otherwise they get a crappy team and get bored with it.

Anyway don't feel pressured to join,

I'm just letting you know that elite means competitive and not a quitter, you don't have to be an expert.

Give me a week or so as there is a possible job change on the horizon which if happens will mean I have to leave Shanghai and move south to Zhuhai......with a wife and 2 kids of school age (7 & 3) I'll not only have to find a suitable new home but also schools (nightmare) and settle into the new company as GM.......

So, my plate is a tad full at the minute, but if the move doesn't happen then I'll probably join

Every Yahoo league I've played in randomly selects the draft order 30-45 minutes before the draft. Don't know if it can be changed

Why would a sane league commissioner even want to consider that. All it would do.was create two weeks of arguments, complaints and charges of corruption, collusion and cronyism by the managers that don't get the first or second pick.

Can't do it because Yahoo sets the draft order randomly, but they don't do it until an hour before the draft. I have no control over it, not even as the commish.

What sg3 is saying is that I basically have to pick the order randomly myself, like picking names out of a hat, and everyone else has to trust that I didn't cheat. While I'm sure everyone will say the right thing, that they trust me, I would still feel funny about it if I winded up with a prime draft position. I really don't want to be in that position, where I have to wonder how it looks to the other players. I would rather just let Yahoo pick the draft order, then there are no questions.

Just start mocking at each spot... #1 thru #1 0. You have 3 months to figure it out! lol
