Do you think Wilson is great without a defense behind him? With him we win it this year but my only issue is that his bloated salary will hinder us from keeping the rest of the roster in tact and eventually we'll have an overpaid qb with a crappy rest of the roster.

But without that QB, you're an 8-8 team till those same players get old and cut anyway...do you want to spend players primes at 8-8 because you didn't get a QB?

When you say someone doesn't understand the market because they disagree with you on someone's value, it is an example of why you have a reputation for being so insufferably arrogant and condescending.

Flacco's deal blew up the market, where non-elite QBs could get elite money. I don't like that trend, because I think it's not good for a team. When you give a QB $18+MM, he had better be elite. If he's not, then you are investing far too much in resources at the position.

How far do you go? How long before every starting QB's salary floor is $15MM? You don't have to be good, you just need to start.
